We had the cabins repaired and ready to take reservations BUT were blindsided in January with a much bigger problem! When Helene came through our beloved NC mountains the rivers hit levels NEVER seen before since records had been kept. The N Toe River around the cabins flooded in historic fashion. It also breached(knocked out the bank) where the river makes a hard right to make its way behind the cabins and give us all the beautiful views from our porches. Now when we have rains the river pushes water through that breach and flows through our property and across the driveway making it impossible to get to or leave the cabins until the water recedes. We can not rent this way due to the complexity of problems it can cause tenants. We are currently meeting with several different companies along with FEMA, and Army Corps of Engineers and attorneys to try and reach a resolution to the situation. With that being said we will continue to work as hard as we can to get things done so that your families can begin enjoying the property again! Please continue to pray for the situation and the many people that have been affected by this tragedy!
