🎼 Anyone travel for music? 🎶
I most certainly do—have and will again!
Music is Self Care; it’s so very therapeutic and I don’t mind spending my coins on it.
Let’s talk about Motown—the GOOD, the bad, the ugly and the BEAUTIFUL 🌱—to follow in another video (y’all do know editing is a forever task, right?) 😂
Right now, I’m just here to say I travel often internationally and domestically too; as America has some beautiful GEMS right here. This museum I’m standing in front of is a true GEM 💎. What brought me here is my love of music and Michigan is state #40 off my bucket list! I love knocking out 2 birds with one stone. Still “Winning at Life”!!!
As I walked through this venue —listening to music and observing all of the artifacts, I became overcome with grief—a healthy sadness—kinda feeling nostalgic. For, this was the type of music I heard as a child growing up—my parents, especially my mom played the vinyl off of the Motown joints. 😂😂😂 So, I was reminiscing about my momma cooking or cleaning the house and listening to her music! 🎵

Travel Friends, do you have a REAL ID?

If not, it’s best you hustle to your local DMV to get yours by May 7, 2025 deadline. You say what’s a “REAL ID” or “Star Card”? It’s an upgraded driver’s license or state ID used for security screening purposes. This “REAL ID will be needed at the airport in order for you to check in—pass through airport security checkpoints to board your domestic flight. Your regular driver’s license or state ID will no longer be accepted at the airport. The Department of Homeland Security will enforce the REAL ID and its requirement for air travel, so be prepared. The REAL ID card is identifiable with either a black or gold star in the top right corner of the card.

To reiterate, in order to pass through security checkpoints at the airport every domestic traveler 18+ must possess a REAL ID or other alternative ID (passport, passport cards, military ID, or federal trusted programs (such as Global Entry). Research before booking your flight; the type of ID is acceptable because 5 states are honoring enhanced drivers license’s as an alternative. I’d list those states, but I’d rather not be quoted—just know before you go.

In order to get your REAL ID, you’ll need valid (not expired) and hard copy (no photocopies or no cell phone images):
- [ ] Social security card; tax doc or W2
- [ ] Birth certificate or passport
- [ ] 2 proofs of address
- [ ] Marriage certificate if name change

Don’t assume that a REAL ID is acceptable for all forms of travel, for instance a cruise —it is not; again, check before you book!

The fee for a REAL ID is the same as a standard driver’s license or state ID.

The unimaginable 🙏🏽

My love of life is traveling: it’s the planning; the anticipation; the talking about it; the shopping for the right outfits; the packing; and then, traveling to the airport. I love love airports—because I love people watching and talking to the strangers and wondering where others are traveling to. I really love ❤️ this part of life. My favorite memories to create, revolve around catching flights. I know the risk as well; but hell driving your car is a risk—living amongst the people in the world is a risk. Statistically speaking, flying is much safer than driving your car. Today I’m sad 😞—sad because no plane traveler thinks the worst. We’re all so hopeful for a safe landing. We actually take safe flights and landings for granted.

It’s 2025 and life has really been lifeN this month.

May God Bless the souls of all aboard both those aircrafts; and comfort their families!

Let us all maintain our courage and keep on flying! 🙌🏽

What are your weekend plans?
This is the last weekend before Thanksgiving Holiday Week, anyone traveling for the holiday—by plane, bus, train, cruise ship, or hitting the road (driving)? Thanksgiving is typically a high travel season, as many are returning home or busting family. It’s a family holiday. Therefore, people are trying to be with family and close friends.
If you’re out in these travel streets for the holidays, be safe; and have all the fun! 🫶🏽🌍
