Is the Disney Dining Plan right for your family? Honestly, it depends. How much your family eats, the types of food you like, and how often you plan to snack around the parks all make a difference.

We’re still here at Disney putting it to the test and trying to get the most bang for those dining plan credits.

Today we found a really fun “snack” while wandering through the booths at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Miso cola glazed sticky ribs.

Sweet, savory, a little sticky, and honestly the kind of thing you wouldn’t expect to count as a snack credit. If you were paying out of pocket, they would run $7.76 with tax.

Since the dining plan is prepaid, we just used one snack credit and kept moving.

This festival is actually one of the best places to stretch those snack credits because the outdoor kitchens are everywhere.
Basically, it turns EPCOT into a giant tasting tour.

The Flower and Garden Festival runs through June 1, 2026, so there is still plenty of time for guests visiting this spring to snack their way around the world.

And don’t forget one of the biggest promos right now. On select travel dates, kids can get the Disney Dining Plan free, which can save families a surprising amount over the course of a trip. Kids meals may not seem expensive individually, but after several days in the parks they absolutely add up.

If you’re thinking about a Disney trip and want help deciding whether the dining plan is worth it for your family, reach out. We can walk you through the numbers and help you lock in your dates while the kids eat free offer is still available.

Continuing our “Is the Disney Dining Plan Right for You?” series, we made our way over to EPCOT for lunch today. We arrived a little before 11, so we placed a mobile order to have everything ready right when the window opened — a great little trick if you want to avoid waiting in line during the lunch rush.

We stopped at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK Pavilion and went with a classic order of fish & chips. The fish was perfectly crispy with that light beer batter Disney does so well, and the fries were hot and salty — exactly what you want when you’re strolling around World Showcase. Naturally we loaded it up with malt vinegar and tartar sauce for the full British pub experience.

Since the Disney Dining Plan includes a beverage with your Quick Service meal, we paired it with a red ale, which made for a really nice lunch break by the water.

We split the meal and used one Quick Service credit, which was already prepaid as part of the dining plan. If we had paid out of pocket, the total including tax would have been $28.21.

We’re keeping a running total of what our meals would have cost without the dining plan, so stay tuned as we keep eating our way through Disney to see if the Dining Plan really pays off! 🍻🍽️

Continuing our little experiment: “Is the Disney Dining Plan Worth Your Money?”

Today we grabbed lunch in EPCOT at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop over in the UK pavilion and went with a classic basket of fish & chips. The fish was juicy and flaky with that perfectly crisp beer batter, and the portion was big enough that we comfortably split it.

With the Disney Dining Plan, this counted as one Quick Service credit. Quick Service meals include one entrée and one beverage (which can be a fountain drink, bottled drink, or even an adult beverage for guests 21+). Since drinks are included, we paired ours with a red ale.

Since we already paid for the dining plan ahead of time, this meal was essentially prepaid using our credits. If we had walked up and paid out of pocket, the total would have been $28.21.

A quick refresher on how the Disney Dining Plan works: you add it to your vacation package ahead of time, and each person in your party receives a set number of meal credits per night of your stay. Instead of paying every time you eat, you simply use those credits throughout your trip. For many families, it helps budget food costs in advance and makes it easier to relax and enjoy meals without constantly pulling out a wallet.

We’re keeping a running total of what our meals would have cost if we paid cash or card instead of using the dining plan, so you can see if it actually saves money.

Follow along as we keep eating our way around Disney and crunching the numbers. 🍻🍽️

We just arrived at our resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and since we got here a little early (too excited to wait!), we grabbed lunch while our room is being prepared.

Our first stop was the Riverside Mill Food Court. If you’ve never been here, it’s the main quick-service spot at the resort and has a really nice variety of options inspired by Southern and Cajun flavors.

We decided to split two entrées so we could try more things.
• Jambalaya – really flavorful with a good amount of spice and a hearty portion.
• Bayou Hot Dog – super creative and honestly delicious.

Both portions were big enough that one person could easily make a full meal out of either one. We may keep sharing entrées throughout the trip so we can pace ourselves and still leave room for snacks around the parks.

Since we’re using the Disney Dining Plan, each quick-service meal includes an entrée plus a drink. That drink can be bottled water, soda, or juice, a fountain beverage, or even an adult beverage for guests 21+. We’ll also talk more about the refillable resort mugs that are included with the dining plan and how much money those can save during your stay.

As we go along on this trip, we’ll share everything we eat and also keep track of what each meal would have cost out of pocket if we didn’t have the Dining Plan. That way you can see whether it’s actually worth it for your family.

Right now there are also select dates where kids can get the Dining Plan for free, which can make it an even better value.

Follow along with us this week as we eat our way around Disney and figure out if the Dining Plan is really worth it. 🍽️🏰

There’s just something about walking into EPCOT. The fountain flowing, Spaceship Earth shining in the background, and that calm feeling that the whole day is about to unfold in front of you.

EPCOT is the perfect park if you love to explore. One minute you’re wandering through Japan, the next you’re grabbing pastries in France, sipping margaritas in Mexico, or tasting fresh pasta in Italy. It’s basically a trip around the world without ever leaving Florida. And the food? Some of the best you’ll find anywhere at Walt Disney World.

If you’ve been thinking about a Disney trip, now is a great time to start planning. You can lock in your vacation with just a $200 deposit, and there are even free dining package offers available right now on select stays.

Send me a message and I’ll help you plan every detail. Dining, Lightning Lanes, resorts, the whole thing. Let’s get you to EPCOT. ✨

If you’ve got a Toy Story kid (or let’s be honest… if YOU love Toy Story too), don’t overlook All-Star Movies!

This is one of Disney’s value resorts, but it still feels really fun and immersive.

The Toy Story section is set up like you’re walking into Andy’s room. Huge Woody and Buzz statues, bright colors, all the oversized toys… it’s just a really cool experience, especially for kids.

And the best part? You’re not paying deluxe prices.

A few reasons I always think this one is worth considering for families:
✅It’s more budget-friendly, which leaves room for snacks, souvenirs, and all the extras.
✅The theming is actually fun. Your hotel feels like part of the trip, not just somewhere to crash.
✅Super kid-friendly with lots of space to run around
✅Easy Disney transportation to the parks.
✅Everything is simple and convenient with a food court and pools right there.

It’s one of those places where your kids walk outside and see Buzz Lightyear towering over them and just lose it in the best way.

If you’re trying to plan a Disney trip without spending a fortune but still want that “this feels like Disney” vibe, this is a really solid pick.

And if you want help figuring out where to stay, I’m always happy to help you plan it out!

Your dream vacation is about to pull into port… and trust me, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Come sail away on a Disney Cruise Line ship where the magic doesn’t stop at the parks. You can set sail from ports like Port Canaveral (Orlando), Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, San Diego, New York, and even international ports depending on the itinerary.

Whether you’re dreaming of Castaway Cay, tropical Caribbean waters, or even a European adventure, there’s a sailing for just about everyone. Think Broadway-style shows, unreal dining, kids clubs that your little ones will beg to go back to, and just enough relaxation for you too.

And the best part? I can help you plan every single detail so all you have to do is show up and enjoy it.

Message me and let’s get you sailing!

Okay let me save you from a full blown Disney meltdown real quick 😅
If you’re going to Disney… rent. the. stroller.

I don’t care if your kid is “too old” or swears they don’t need one. Disney is a whole different level of walking. We’re talking miles and miles in the heat, standing in lines, late nights… those little legs are gonna tap out way faster than you think.

And when they do? It’s not cute. It’s tired, overstimulated, end-of-the-world level meltdown. Ask me how I know 😂

A stroller just makes everything easier. They can rest, you can keep moving, and everybody stays a little happier.

The best part is you don’t even have to deal with bringing one. I can connect you with rental companies that will drop off a really nice, comfy stroller straight to your Disney resort and pick it back up when you leave. Super easy, not crazy expensive, and 1000% worth it.

Let me help you plan a Disney trip where you’re not stressed, your kids are happy, and you actually get to enjoy it.

Because trust me… a well-rested kid = a much better vacation.
