Thanks for following along for our Alaska cruise recap! 🚢🏔️
Don’t worry- there’s still more content coming! But for now, if you have any questions about our experience aboard the MSC Poesia or cruising to Alaska in general, drop them below. I’m happy to share what we learned along the way. Also, I’d love to help you plan your cruise to Alaska- my planning services are complimentary.

And yes, I had to take a moment to grab some Alaska-themed merch from MSC’s inaugural Alaska sailing season. 😍

Now it’s back to reality here in the South… and wow, it’s HOT! ☀️🥵

Day 7 – Victoria, British Columbia 🇨🇦 Oh, Canada- you stole our hearts. ❤️
Our final port stop on our Alaskan cruise brought us to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. We arrived late in the evening with only about four hours to explore, and honestly, we didn’t know what to expect.

What we found was a city full of charm, stunning natural beauty, friendly locals, and some delicious food. Even in just a few short hours, Victoria left a lasting impression on us.

We’re already dreaming of a return trip to spend more time exploring everything this beautiful province has to offer.
Have you been to Victoria or British Columbia? Drop your favorite spots and recommendations below! 👇🇨🇦

Happy Friday, friends! ☀️I’m still over here reliving our Alaska cruise, and I have to share how much I’m LOVING this tee from . It’s incredibly soft, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the Tongass Forest design!

If you’re planning a trip to Alaska, make sure to stop by this amazing local shop in Ketchikan. They have a fantastic selection of tees, sweatshirts, and hats, all hand-designed by the owner. They also carry locally sourced products and the most amazing-smelling candles.

Shopping local is always a priority for me- maybe because I’m a small business owner myself, but there’s something special about supporting the people and communities that make a place unique.

Woodlands Clothing Is definitely a must-visit when you’re in Alaska! Have you ever found a local shop while traveling that you just couldn’t stop thinking about?

Ice, ice baby🧊 Part 2 of our day in Juneau but this is the tale of two adventures. While we chose to view Mendenhall Glacier from the ground at the base level, our daughter chose to take a helicopter tour to the top of the glacier for some hiking and a very up close look at the ice.

Juneau, Alaska – Part 1
Juneau completely captured our hearts. Between the incredible scenery, friendly locals, and rich history, this charming capital city is truly one of a kind. This is a popular cruise port, and we got to see the Disney Wonder docked.

Fun fact: Juneau is the only U.S. state capital that can’t be reached by road- only by plane or boat! Nestled in the Tongass National Forest, it’s home to stunning landmarks like Mendenhall Glacier, Nugget Falls, and Mount Roberts.

We spent the day exploring Mendenhall Glacier and hiking to Nugget Falls, taking in some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Also there were tons of Eagles here (not pictured) and we got to see a porcupine too!!

Day 5 – Glacier Day!! Part 1 🧊

We started the day sailing through Endicott Arm on our way to the magnificent Dawes Glacier. These photos were taken both from our balcony and from the top deck of the ship, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The towering cliffs, floating ice, and incredible scenery made for an unforgettable morning.

Located at the head of the breathtaking Endicott Arm fjord in Southeast Alaska’s Tongass National Forest, this impressive tidewater glacier stretches approximately 15 miles in length.

Next stop: Juneau! We’ll be arriving later this afternoon, where we’ll visit the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier. Stay tuned for Part 2! ❄️🏔️

Icy Strait Point, Hoonah, Alaska Part ✌️

This Alaskan cruise port definitely deserves two posts! Icy Strait Point is a one-of-a-kind destination, created and operated by the residents of Hoonah.

It’s also home to the World’s Largest Zip-line, but if you know me, you already know I wasn’t getting on that. 😂

What makes this port so special isn’t just the attractions, it’s the heart behind it. Built by the local community, Icy Strait Point is a beautiful example of preserving culture, creating opportunities, and sharing the beauty of Alaska with visitors. You can truly feel the love that went into creating this incredible place.

Alaskan Cruise Day 4- Icy Strait, Hoonah Alaska

You may recall last week that I said this day was a day we’d never forget… well that remains true!

We booked our whale watching tour with Alaska Whale and Drone Tours and it was seriously amazing. In my opinion, this is the ONLY way to see whales and other wildlife.

Also the cruise port, Icy Strait was straight out of a story book with the absolute best halibut we’ve ever tasted.

Day 3- Ketchikan, Alaska! This beautiful little town welcomed us with the friendliest people, amazing food and so much history. Known as Alaska’s “First City” and the Salmon Capital of the World, Ketchikan completely charmed us. We loved learning about its Gold Rush roots and the famous red-light district that once thrived here in the early 1900s. Such a fun and unforgettable day exploring this historic waterfront town!

Also, you MUST stop to try the salmon donut- it was delicious!
