From murals and jazz to live music downtown, there’s something happening across Petersburg all weekend long.

Join the community on Friday for the Arts! for the dedication of Petersburg’s newest mural by artist Hamilton Glass, then head to Jazz in the Stacks at the Petersburg Public Library for a free evening of live music. Don't miss the new show at P**L - "Father/Son", and stop by the Petersburg Visitor Center for the continuation of the "1776 - 2026" art exhibit.

Throughout the weekend, enjoy the Halifax Music Festival, bringing live music, food, and entertainment to the Halifax Triangle and adding to a full weekend of arts, culture, and community in Petersburg!

Artist Call! Submit a piece for the "What Freedom Means" Juried Exhibition at Petersburg Area Art League - a show in commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

🚨 Call for Art closes June 10 🚨

We’re just 10 days away from the submission deadline for P**L’s July exhibition, and we’re still looking for artists to be part of this show.

If you’ve been thinking about submitting your work, now is the time. We are actively reviewing submissions and hope to include a strong, diverse group of artists in this exhibition.

Selected work will be featured in P**L’s July exhibition across multiple gallery spaces throughout the building.

Submit via the link in bio. Applications close June 10 and will not be extended.
