A little late in the day - too much outdoor and gardening work on this suddenly 80 degree day in Philadelphia - but a to Czerw's Kielbasa the best Polish Deli in Philadelphia and the place to get all of your kielbasa, kabansa, homemade bacon, burgers, and other fine meats as well as homemade pierogi and other great Polish items. A dedicated, friendly, and amazing owner/chef that focuses on repeat business, quality and consistent service, amazing food at fair prices, and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. to when we spent New Years Eve 2014 into 2015 in Quebec City. It was so cold that they made caramel snow cones right outside with fresh snow. Didn't bother to think exactly WHERE they got the snow lol. But we swear it was pure and white before they rolled the caramel in. Honest!

Yes...false spring has arrived in the Mid-Atlantic! But we're still enjoying our favorite warm, winter dishes this time of year as we know cooler temperatures will be back next week. What's one "winter" meal or food you still cook/eat all year?

While the Mid Atlantic will experience a brief warm up next week, temperatures will drop back down into the 40s by end of the week so it's still soup season in our books. Up next weekend - probably time for some sausage corn chowder - the first thing we learned to cook as a child and something we even make in the dead of summer sometimes.

We're in the middle of our winter break and enjoying downtime and planning for 2025! Taking a moment to pop online and say "Go Birds!" today. Our tours - from our history tours such as the "Foundations of Philly Freedom Tour" to "In the Footsteps of the Revolution", our Mural Arts and our popular "Art & Architecture" tours, to our full slate of food tours like "Polish Food Tour of Philadelphia", "South Philadelphia Food Tour", and "A Taste of Philly", and our huge hit "Dirty, Scary, and Buried in Philly" resume in March. What an awesome kick off last evening for our annual Philadelphia Christmas Light Tour through South Philly! Cold temperatures, constant updates on the Eagles victory, and plenty of awesome holiday lights and displays along our route.
