First Disney cruise? “Muster” sounds more intimidating than it is. 🚢

It’s the required safety drill before departure. Your assembly station is your assigned meeting place. Check the safety information on your stateroom door, look in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the drill time, and follow the crew’s instructions when it begins.

You’ll check in and hear what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. The crew will show how to use a life jacket; you do not need to bring or wear one to the drill.

“Your stroller plan starts before you board.”

Taking a stroller to Walt Disney World? Measure it before your trip: the park limit is 31 inches wide by 52 inches long. Wagons and stroller wagons are prohibited in the theme parks and water parks. disneyworld.disney.go.com

For buses and parking trams, take your child out, gather what’s in the basket, and fold the stroller before boarding. Monorails and Skyliner gondolas usually let you roll a stroller on if it fits, but a wide double stroller may need folding for the Skyliner, and a Cast Member may ask you to fold one on a crowded monorail.

A little preparation helps everyone board safely. Please follow Cast Member directions, keep aisles clear, and offer a seat to someone who needs one when you can.

Let’s book a Disney Value resort” still leaves one big question: which one? 🏨

Here’s the quick family fit guide:

🎬 All-Star Movies: Larger-than-life Disney movie scenes, with Standard and Preferred rooms for up to four.

🎵 All-Star Music: Music themes and the only All-Star resort with Family Suites. The suites sleep up to six and include two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

⚽ All-Star Sports: A sports-themed stay with Standard and Preferred rooms for up to four.

🚠 Pop Century: Retro fun and Skyliner access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Choose among Standard, pool-view, and Preferred room categories.

🐠 Art of Animation: The biggest character-filled setting of the group. Choose a Little Mermaid room for up to four or a Finding Nemo, Cars, or Lion King Family Suite for up to six. The suites have two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

My advice: start with how many people need beds, then decide whether Skyliner access, a suite, or a particular theme matters most to your family. A Preferred room can shorten your walk, but it does not turn a standard room into a suite.

Is Disney Club Level worth the extra cost—or will your family barely use it? 🏰

Club Level is a room category at select Walt Disney World resorts. It includes access to a private lounge with refreshments throughout the day and Cast Members who can help with dining reservations, park information, transportation questions, and ticket purchases.

What might a lounge day look like? Hours and menus vary by resort, but a sample schedule is:

☕ 7:00–10:30 a.m. — continental breakfast
🍎 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. — light snacks
🧀 5:00–7:00 p.m. — evening appetizers and select drinks
🍰 8:00–10:00 p.m. — desserts and cordials

My honest take: Club Level can be a lovely fit for a family that plans to return to the resort for breaks, eat breakfast there, and enjoy a slower evening. If you’ll leave early and stay in the parks until bedtime every day, you may pay for a lounge you rarely see. The offerings are refreshments, not a replacement for every meal.

And yes, the concierge team can help make dining reservations. They cannot promise a hard-to-get table, so I would still plan ahead when your booking window opens.

You’ll find Club Level options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, Yacht Club, Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, and Coronado Springs Resort. Availability and room types vary.

I wouldn’t recommend Universal Nights to every family. 🌙

It’s a separately ticketed, limited-capacity evening at Epic Universe. You can enter at 7 p.m.; the event runs from 9 p.m. to midnight. Universal includes access to the park’s five worlds, character encounters, select snacks and Coca-Cola Freestyle refills.

Who I’d consider it for:
✨ Families with teens who love rides and can enjoy a late night
✨ Short-trip visitors who especially want time at Epic Universe after dark
✨ Passholders planning a return visit—Universal lists a 10% event-ticket discount

Who I’d pause for: young children with early bedtimes, or a family whose ticket budget is already stretched. An extra ticket only earns its place if your family will enjoy those late hours.

Remaining dates listed for 2026: October 17 and 24, and November 6 and 20. Tickets start at $179 plus tax per person ages 3+. Prices and availability can change.
