Friday Fun 💥🎊

Today is the day I share with you a fun excursion my clients booked this week.
Jorge and his family of four are repeat clients for multiple year. I love working with him. I know his style and he likes my help for some things but not all things. So we team up.

This year they are going all over Spain and Portugal. They will be doing a guided Alhambra tour with Nasrid Palaces.

The Alhambra is a breathtaking palatine city and fortress complex located in Granada, Spain. Built primarily in the 13th and 14th centuries by the Moorish Nasrid dynasty.

Spain was invigorating and exhausting! I will say that I loved the country side more than the cities. However, the buildings in Barcelona and Madrid are stunning. But, the rolling green hills in the Montserrat area, were what captured my heart.

The medieval cities of Segovia and Avila were also gorgeous! Spanish architecture is so impressive and really makes me feel like I am in another century. Spaniards take their siesta time seriously in the country and there is something so peaceful about that. I may be Spanish but that is definitely something my ancestors did not pass on to my genes. I wish I could incorporate more siesta time in my daily life!

Maybe that is why the cities overwhelmed me. It is so much healthier to slow down. The cities had so much to see and do, but when we were out of the concrete jungle, is when I felt like I was really on vacation.

I would love to go back to Spain, but I would focus on more villages next time. Although, there are more things I would like to do in Barcelona. Looking for a great family resort with water slides?

Grand Sunset Princess may be the answer for your family.

The new Laguna Villas are gorgeous too! I have heard that pool service is amazing and consistent with very kind and friendly employees.

It is important to note that the beach can get a lot of sargassum, so this resort is better for pool people~ and there is an alligator or two that sometimes hangs around.

There are NO drinking straws here. They are environmentally conscience. Bring reusable straws if that is important to you.

This resort is in a large complex and you will never get bored.

I watch the Hawaii news a lot. It always hurts my heart to read about another drowning. Please remember:

✋ Always swim with a buddy
✋ Swim at beaches that have a lifeguard, when possible. They do NOT all have lifeguards.
✋ Be aware of water conditions—rip currents often look like calm channels or discolored, choppy water.
✋ If caught in a rip current, stay calm and swim parallel to the shore until you’re out of it.
✋ Look for warning flags and signs, and don’t hesitate to ask resort staff about local conditions.
✋ Wear a life vest

Even strong swimmers can be affected, so please take this seriously. If in doubt, don't go out.
