I am flying to Seattle today and will be back in office after our Alaskan cruise. Storymakers Travel is taking a big group~ this is our second Alaskan group trip. This time we will be on a different ship and will get to see Glacier Bay National Park.
I am so excited because Alaska is stunning and I get to meet new people and reunite with people I have not seen in a long time.

I will respond to message when I can. We will have limited wi-fi. It is probably best if you DM me here or email me versus texting.

I will post pictures when I can connect!

Happy September everyone!

A little about me: I started my business in 2018 because I love exploring the world. At the time, I thought, "I book my own travel, why would anyone work with me"? Well, that thought process has changed dramatically throughout the years.

💅 I can paint my own nails, but I love to have them professionally done.
💸 I can do my own taxes, but I hire someone. LLC, S Corp, etc....bends my brain too much.
🚗 I can wash my own car, but I won't....I gladly take it somewhere to get nice and clean. As a matter of fact, two weeks ago I did vacuum it myself. TWO days later, I got in the car an started laughing. Went inside to tell my husband that I forgot to get the back seat. Hence, the need to hire someone!

People hire me because they are too busy, they hate research, they love knowing I have their back if something goes wrong (air schedule changes last minute, hurricanes, forest fires, etc). Many of my clients are professionals with families. They would rather spend their time working and being with them than on a computer comparing hotels and prices and reviews....for hours and hours.

Your ability to "book" a trip is there. That is a fact. I don't just "book". I provide a service that includes so much more. If you enjoy planning vacations and have the time to do it, I may not be for you. But, if you like having a person that cares about your trip (after all, I stay in business because of you), then let's work together. You will get your time back, and I can assure you, I shop for you the exact same way I shop for me. We all want a good deal, great itinerary and peace of mind!

I have been to 34 countries and send clients all over the globe. If something is out of my wheelhouse, I will tell you. Call me. Interview me. Ask me questions. I want to help you.

I plan all types of vacations, land and cruise, group, solo, small family, large family...etc .I also have a yearly group trip: one for women and one coed. I go on the women's trip and my husband joins on the coed trip. Next year's coed that still has availability is a NCL cruise to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France October 23-Nov 1, 2027. Would love to have you join us!

I don't plan weddings. I DO plan honeymoons. I don't plan Disney or Universal, but Emily (my team member) does.

I'd love to get to know you. Call or text 678*571-8349 or DM me or email [email protected].

It has been a fun couple of days! 🛳🎉

My friend reached out to me because she had booked a 21 day Viking ocean cruise and wanted to transfer it to me so I can help her with everything.

Then her friend transferred his booking too. After that, they are going to meet other friends in Europe for a cruise in the Rhine River. So, I got both those cabins booked also.

Because she transferred to me, I was able to get each cabin an additional $200 off due to a promo I have that expires today. The timing was perfect! That is $800 in savings amongst friends!

There is another perk that may or may not happen. These change so often so I just keep checking. As of now, it is not there, but if it shows up, I will add it to all cabins. They never have to do anything but let me do what I do best. 👩🏻‍⚕️

I just sent them all the insurance quotes from one of the companies I work with all the time, and compared it to the cruise insurance, so they can decide which they prefer. In this case, "my" company is not only a better price but a lot better coverage.

When you hire me, I will work hard for you too. I will explain everything and be there until you get home!

Have you cruised Viking before? They are having some great prices now. Really, really good!

Cruise News: exciting stuff for my west coast travelers! 🎊

Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas is scheduled to start sailing from Los Angeles on 3 to 8 night cruises to Mexican Riviera, which includes Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. This is the first time ever for this ship to sail this sea! ⛵

Is this ship right for you? If you are wanting a huge mega ship, this is NOT the ship for you, but at one point, it was their largest. They have great shows for all the family, and some say it is a classic style ship with a lot of character.

If you are new to cruising and the thought of a mega ship overwhelms you, Voyager would be a great alternative!

Take on three stories of twisting, turning adventure on two high-speed waterslides in The Perfect Storm℠ or go head to head in a glow-in-the-dark laser tag clash in Battle for Planet Z℠.
Hang ten on the FlowRider℠* surf simulator or recharge and reinvigorate at the spa and adults-only solarium. Plus enjoy Voyager Dunes, ice-skating, rock-climbing wall, and gambling in the casino!

There is something for everyone on this ship. If getting to CA is easier for you than getting to TX or FL to sail, this is a great ship and Fall is perfect for sailing to Mexico!

Reach out to get started and I will help you choose the perfect cabin for your family.

***Deposits and payment plans available if you book far enough in advance (think Spring Break or Summer 2027)

I haven't talked about Jamaica in awhile, mostly because since Hurricane Melissa, a big part of Jamaica (Montego Bay) was devastated and that part has been undergoing major renovations at many resorts, and will be re-opening next year.

However, you can still visit other parts of the island that were not damaged. Moon Palace in Ocho Rios is a great resort! I got to spend some time here and there is so much to do for families (think Spring Break). 🌴🌴🌴

It is a large resort, so plenty of space for everyone. There is a downside though-the beach is a small cove and the ships can dock there so it can be busy on those days. It can be up to a 2 hour drive from the Montego Bay airport, BUT if your airline flies to OCJ, you will be very close.

Pros: This resort is perfect for teens! Food is great
Great for kids 10 and up imo - guitar playing, game room, water everything, kids club/ games, theater, surf , etc.

Perfect for families if you do not care about a great beach and just want lots to do with nice pools. Believe it or not, not everyone goes to a beach destination to be in the water. I am one of them! I like to look at it, but don't need to get in the water. I am a pool resort kinda gal!

Are you a pool or beach person when it comes to resort stays?

Domestic Spotlight Tuesday 🎉

You may not know this, but I also have gorgeous homes in my inventory. I do not work with Aribnb or VRBO. I work with a supplier that vets each property. I have booked many in Hawaii and some in New Mexico.

Check out this gorgeous property in Gatlinburg, TN. Perfect for a big family reunion or holiday get together.

This one sleeps 12 people, has 4 BR and 4 bathrooms, a home theater, hot tub, community pool, mountain view...all right there in the beautiful Smokie Mountains.

I have many LARGE properties too. Found one today that sleeps 64 people!

If you have a need for a big home, never hesitate to reach out to me. I have hundreds, possibly thousands. These are worldwide, but today I am just sharing this lovely home in TN.

Doesn't this make you want to put on some hiking boots and enjoy all that this beautiful earth has to offer, and then snuggle up with a fire, a big bulky sweater and a warm drink? 🍂🍂🍂

The 4 main cruise lines for families are MSC, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney.

Here is a general guide:

🥇 Royal Caribbean-Best overall

Royal Caribbean International is my first choice if the kids are a major priority. On the larger ships you can have waterslides, pools, FlowRider, sports, shows, kids' clubs, teen spaces, specialty restaurants and lots of activities without ever feeling like you've run out of things to do. Royal Caribbean's Adventure Ocean program is designed around age groups, and its ships are particularly strong for families with older children and teenagers.

🥈 Carnival- Best value + fun

Carnival Cruise Line is probably the best choice if you want a relaxed, fun, less formal family vacation.. Carnival has excellent age-specific programs: Camp Ocean for younger children, Circle "C" for ages 12–14 and Club O2 for 15–17. Depending on the ship, families can also get waterslides, ropes courses, mini-golf, SkyRide, Bolt, movies and other activities.

🥉 MSC — Best for European feel + food

MSC has surprisingly strong children's programming, with dedicated clubs from 0–17, including Baby Club, Mini Club, Junior Club, Young Club and Teen Club.

MSC is great for a family that wants the cruise to feel more like an international vacation. You'll encounter a more European atmosphere, international food and a somewhat more elegant environment. Their ships are Italian and gorgeous.

Downside: If your kids are saying "I want the biggest waterslides, surfing simulator, zip line, crazy activities and nonstop entertainment," I'd choose Royal Caribbean instead.

🎭 Entertainment: Disney is outstanding.

Disney Cruise Line changes the comparison quite a bit. Disney is arguably the best pure family cruise experience, but Royal Caribbean is often the better choice for families with older kids/teens or families who want more physical activities and a bigger ship experience.

Disney is different from the other three. The Disney experience isn't simply "a cruise with kids." The entire cruise is designed around families.
Disney has the Oceaneer Club/Lab for ages 3–10, Edge for tweens 11–14 and Vibe for teens. There are also character experiences, Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Star Wars programming and dedicated adult areas.

Disney isn't only about children. There are adult restaurants, lounges, pools and other adult-exclusive spaces, so parents can get time away while the kids are in the clubs.

At Storymakers Travel, we do help you choose the right itinerary, the right ship and the right cabin. Now is the time to plan your holiday cruise as well as Spring Break and Summer cruises for 2027. Reach out to get started!
