The magic of the passport is real!😉 And Alaska was once again an incredible experience! This was not my first visit to Alaska but it was the first time for my kids & I think it’s safe to say they are now smitten! We are already planning the next trip for the WHOLE family this time! And when it comes to Alaska - Holland America Line is one of the best options! From scenic cruising in Glacier Bay to a wildlife expert leading sessions looking for animals throughout the week to kid-friendly activities like watercolor painting, it was the perfect recipe for a truly unforgettable vacation!

There are so many choices if you want to go on an Alaskan cruise. For families looking to vacation, it might feel overwhelming & it makes sense that the most popular cruise lines in the Caribbean are the way to go for Alaska too, right? WRONG & my top choices might surprise you!
When you cruise to Alaska, it is MUCH more about the destination than the ship! Meaning, you often spend a lot of time in the ports & when you are sailing, I would recommend truly taking in your surroundings! You will see wildlife & gorgeous views EVERYWHERE! So, while there are activities onboard, I think it’s more important to look at where the ship goes, how long you are in port, etc. There IS a difference between cruise lines! For example, this week, I am sailing on Holland America Line and we have been at THE BEST locations at every port! We also spent the majority of the day in Juneau, departing at 10pm! And yes, I would definitely recommend this for families! There are kids’ clubs, a sports deck, art activities, and more! Quieter? Yes, but still VERY family-friendly!
