This is the one thing we tell every client planning Germany. If you’re planning a Germany trip, don’t rush past the Marktplatz. I know it sounds like just another town square, but it’s not.

These squares have been the center of town life for hundreds of years, and you can tell. You’ve got half timbered houses on every side, a church, a town hall, and locals still shopping the food stalls like they have for generations.

Grab a bratwurst, find a seat, and just watch people go by for an hour. That’s it. That’s the whole activity, and it’s one of our favorite things to tell clients to do.
