The first trip abroad with young kids, or the first one since having them, is its own category of hard.

Long-haul flights, a time zone that fights your kids’ sleep schedule, and logistics around strollers and car seats that nobody warns you about.

Swipe through what actually makes it hard, and why it’s worth planning on purpose.

If that’s the trip you’re staring down right now, you’re exactly who I built this for.

Save this for when you’re ready to start.

The #1 thing that derails a multigenerational family trip isn’t the destination, it’s too many decision-makers.

Here’s how I keep that from happening:
✈️ Pacing that fits everyone. That includes down time for those that need it!

✈️ Enough space at your accommodation.

✈️ One point of contact, always. One plan that your group agrees too.

Comment if this is already sounding familiar.

You’ve already tried the Pinterest boards and the open tabs. You want it handled, not micromanaged.

You can take an honest “this pace won’t work” without taking it personally. If that’s you, we’d work well together.

Not sure if that’s you?

Comment ‘quiz’ and I’ll send you a 90-second quiz that gives an honest read on whether your trip is a DIY job or one worth handing off.

We took our boys to Tokyo when they were 2.5 months and 5 years old, and again this year at 1 and 6.

This itinerary comes from real days with real kids, not a list of top attractions.

Swipe through the 10 days at a glance, including what changed in Tokyo in 2026 that makes last year’s blog posts out of date.

Comment Tokyo and I’ll send you the free 10-day guide.

There’s a real difference between an itinerary that was assembled and one that was crafted, and it shows up in almost every detail if you know what to look for.

Here’s what that difference actually looks like in practice.

📌Save this if you’re trying to figure out what you should actually be paying for.

Not every trip planner is the right fit for every traveler, and I’d rather tell you that up front than have you find out three emails in.

Here’s who this genuinely isn’t built for, and who it’s built for instead.

If you read this and thought ‘that’s me’ in a good way, the link in my bio has the next step.

This is a real kind of request I get, and a real example of what I’d say back. I love the ambition, and I can make a version of this happen, but the version as-asked would burn a family out by day four. Here’s what actually gets you the highlights without doing that.

Comment ‘itinerary’ if you want to see how I’d restructure a trip like this for your family.

These are the kind of details that separate a trip you booked from a trip someone actually built for your family. None of these show up on a checklist, they show up because someone thought about your family specifically, not families in general. This is the part of the process I love most.

📌 Save this for your next trip.

The itinerary is the easy part. The real work happens before I open a single hotel site, in the questions that tell me what your family actually needs versus what a destination guide assumes every family needs.

📌 Save this if you’re the type who wants to know what goes into the process before you hand it off.

FORA certification isn’t a badge, it’s access. It’s the difference between booking a hotel room and booking a hotel room with a room upgrade, early check-in, and a credit toward dinner, because the property already knows and trusts the advisor sending you. It’s the same trip, just with more of it going right.

If you’ve ever wondered what a planning fee is actually buying you, this is a big piece of it.
