The Boat Company

The Boat Company Linktr.ee/theboatcompany.org The itinerary of Boat Company trips is flexible and spontaneous. Canoes and kayaks can explore hidden covers and scenic shorelines.

Cruising with the purpose of protecting the natural environment and resources of Southeast Alaska by engaging in and supporting charitable, educational, and scientific programs. With a skilled and capable crew – featuring a ratio of two guests per one crew member – the needs and wishes of each guest can be accommodated without difficulty. Hikers can spend as much time off the boat as they like –

hiking the forest service trails, beachcombing the tide flats, walking the stream beds and taking leisurely strolls along the beaches in the company of our trained naturalists. Fishermen can stream fish or take out skiffs with guides and try their luck. One doesn’t just view the magnificent land from afar... one gets out and experiences it!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are especially grateful for the veterans, service members, and military families whose sacrifice and dedication have protected the places and freedoms we cherish.

From all of us at The Boat Company, thank you. 🇺🇸

In just our first 2 weeks of Summer 2026 cruising, we've seen snow-capped mountain landscapes, powerful waterfalls, incredible displays by humpbacks and orcas, beautiful and fleeting fly-fishing catches, up to 10 bears in one day, and so much more. Thank you Alaska, we are so happy to be home.

Writer and adventurer Adeina Anderson joined one of our small-ship expeditions through Southeast Alaska and brought the experience home to KXAN News. We're so grateful for the beautiful segment and for sharing the magic of the Tongass (as well as her amazing rain gear packing tips) with the audience.

It's only the beginning, and this season has been nothing short of incredible. Humpback whales just off the bow, bears fishing the salmon streams, plenty of eagles overhead, and otters stealing the show! Our guests have been treated to some of the best wildlife encounters we've seen in years.

Travel expert Adeina Anderson stops by Studio 512 with a firsthand look at her unforgettable Alaskan adventure—from glaciers to wildlife and everything in between. If Alaska has been sitting high o…

Southeast Alaska steelhead are kind of legendary among anglers because they’re incredibly strong fish in pristine systems. 📹 From Trip #1, Summer 2026!

Ford’s Terror earned its name back in the day. In the late 1800s when a U.S. Coast Survey ship was surveying Southeast Alaska, crew member H. Ford rowed into this narrow passage and became trapped by powerful tidal rapids and floating glacial ice — surviving the ordeal and living to tell the tale.
