Do you love hunting, stalking and being able to get close to animals? Come join us on this amazing back country camp where you will learn how to make a perfectly tillered long bow. During this camp each student will build their own primitive bow to keep and take home. Through this amazing adventure camp, we will also be teaching the art of primitive instinctual archery—with 3D targets and scout games! Through learning the archer’s way of the land you will practice stalking techniques, stealthy movement and you will begin to enter the world of the scout. Participants in this camp will likely never see nature the same way again! Students will learn the process of taking a piece of wood (bow stave) with the bark on, stripping it down, measuring and making a beautifully tillered bow.
$100 bow fee (non-refundable required)

Back Country Horse & Skills (Overnight) | August 16-20th | Ages 6th grade and up| Ellison Ranch, Mcleod
The best of both, this camp incorporates everything from the back country horse camp and ties our Survival Essentials camp into one amazing learning experience. This back country horse adventure combines the horses and the wilderness skills together. This horse adventure camp starts down the mountain where the students will learn to communicate and connect with the horses. From how to speak to a horse, to building the relationship, each student will learn new skills such as packing or increase existing skills. From there, the class will ride out on an amazing adventure up the mountain to a primitive back country camp. The students will set up camp, learn to cook over a fire, and how to take care of horses in the back country along with learning wilderness survival skills.
