Leaving Ketchikan headed for Victoria, BC. Tomorrow is the last day at sea already. Today was a picture-postcard day for normally rainy Ketchikan….70 degrees and a light breeze down the waterway. Posting a couple pics from Glacier Bay National Park as well.

Every trip to Alaska has “that moment”. Today, we had that moment at Mendenhall National Park. This video should have the caption “how it started” we’re walking back from Nugget Falls and bam! Finally see a black bear. It only took 16 years of looking. Total tourist high the rest of the way back! (Personal note, I had to p*e bad)……..

Pics of “how it ended”. So walking back, we’re trying to anticipate where the Bear might pop out from the woods. We warned a few people, and sure enough, out he comes. Now thanks to this woman smacking her lips and saying “come on out baby,” we had a close encounter of the black bear kind….like 7-10’ close! (On a personal note, I had to p*e badder!!!). Yes, I made sure she was the first to be eaten!! Most pics had zero zoom.
