A sweet couple just booked a Walt Disney World vacation to celebrate a very special 45th wedding anniversary in less than a month. How special is that?

We planned a vacation together in the past and they stayed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the Gran Destino Tower. They loved it so much they wanted to go back.

Disembarkation Day 🥺✨

Yesterday was our disembarkation day, which is always bittersweet. While we are so grateful for our magical Disney World and Disney Cruise Line vacation, we also never want it to end. We loved every minute and were so blessed to never see a single drop of rain.

While onboard I booked a placeholder for a discount on a future sailing. You pay $250 while onboard to secure a discount on a future sailing that must sail within the next two years. Each stateroom can book up to two placeholders for up to two staterooms on the same future discounted sailing.

On disembarkation day, we had an 8am breakfast at Arendelle to say goodbye to our server and assistant server (Yan and Momo were THE BEST!). All guests must be off the ship by 930am. We easily found our Port Transfer 🚍 to the airport and were at the airport within an hour due to a little bit of traffic. So easy!

My daughter and I had the best time together and made so many memories. Now, it’s home to open my laptop today and help make magical memories for other families. ✨

✴️ Breakfast at Hotel
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading out for a day of adventure.

✴️ Kehaya-Za Sumo Experience & Museum
Learn about the history of the traditional Japanese sport of Sumo wrestling at this fun and informative museum where you’ll not only discover a fascinating exhibit of the sport’s ancient beginnings, but you’ll step into the museum’s dohyo, a sand-filled ring, where you will see a live Sumo demonstration.

✴️ Buddhist Lunch at Taima-dera
Experience the traditional vegan Buddhist temple cuisine at Taima-dera provided by gracious hosts in the serene setting of the surrounding, expansive gardens.

✴️ Coach Ride to Takayama
Travel through the valleys and mountains of the region by coach, arriving to check in at your home away from home in Takayama.

✴️ Adult Dinner at Hotel
Adults will partake in a dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

Disney Wish: Disney’s Castaway Cay 📍🛳️⚓️🏝️

We woke up to one of my very favorite views, had Mickey churro waffles at Marceline Market, then headed off the ship by 8am to Disney’s Castaway Cay.

We love Castaway Days! Disney takes care of everything and the island is so pretty, clean and well-maintained. ✨ Towels, lunch, soft drinks and ice cream are included on the island. There are tons of lounge chairs with umbrellas for guests and there’s so much to do even outside of the beach. You can also find some of your best character friends and photo pass photographers to get some great family pics. Don’t miss the Castaway Cay souvenirs that you can only find on the island.

After our day on Castaway, we rode the Aqua Mouse 💦 one more time before getting cleaned up and watching us sail away.

Last night we watched Aladdin in the Walt Disney Theater, had dinner at Arendelle ❄️ and went to the “WISHing Ever After” farewell show.

Happy Disney Day!!! ✨🛕🛳️ 🏰✨

The S Family from Texas depart for a pre-night stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the Gran Destino Tower before boarding the Disney Wish tomorrow!

(We will high five in the port terminal as I disembark and their magic is just beginning!!!)

Then, they head back to Walt Disney World for a couple days of park hopping! This will be such a magical getaway for this mother and daughter!

⛩️ Fushimi Inari Shrine: Torii Trail
Trek through a remarkable trail of over ten thousand orange Torii gates that lead to sacred Mt. Inari and the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. With each Torii donated by businesses, organizations and individuals grateful for their luck and prosperity, the Torii Trail extends high onto the mountain.

🥁 Temple Tour & Taiko Drumming
Visit a local temple where you’ll feel the beat as you get a hands-on demonstration of Taiko drumming on Japanese percussion instruments.

Nijo Castle Tour 🌿
Tour this iconic castle that once served as the residence and office of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first sh**un of the Edo Period. In addition to the majestic architecture, the castle grounds are also home to beautiful gardens that boast an array of flora unique to each season, which includes over 50 varieties of cherry trees among the 300 trees throughout the gardens.
