Important Announcement: 2025 Seminole County Fair Postponed

We regret to announce that the Annual Seminole County Fair, traditionally held in March, will be postponed for 2025 due to the closure and planned redevelopment of the Seminole Towne Center Mall and surrounding property.

The modern Seminole County Fair was established in the late 1990s by the legendary Orlando amusement impresario E. James Strates and his Strates Shows, continuing a rich tradition that dates back over a century. The county's first fair was held on First Street in Sanford in 1915, and from 1948 to 1976, the Campbell-Lossing American Legion Post 53 in Sanford proudly hosted the event. After an 18-year hiatus, the Seminole County Fair & Exposition made a brief return from 1994 to 1996 before the Strates family revived it in 1999 at Seminole Towne Center.

We look forward to bringing the Seminole County Fair back in 2026 and appreciate your continued support! Stay tuned for updates.

Join us for the Fair's "sensory sensitive" experience THIS Saturday, March 30th between 2p-4p. Carnival operator Strates Shows is partnering with Special Needs Advocacy Program, Inc. to set aside special hours to create a more calming and comforting atmosphere for young people who may be especially sensitive to lights and sound like those with autism or other sensory processing disorders. Between the hours of 2-4pm, the flashing lights, music and other sounds and noises on the carnival will be turned off for those impacted by sensory processing issues, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the Fair without the drawbacks that lights and sounds can cause. The Fair ends THIS Sunday and is located at the Seminole Towne Center.

Closing times vary based on weather conditions and the number of people on the midway. Typically we close at 11 p.m. on weekends and maybe a little earlier during the week.
