The Mickelson Trail keeps delivering, and we're here for every mile of it.

Tuesday brought an out and back from Custer to Hill City. Ride as many or as few miles as you like, that's the beauty of an out and back. Something for everyone on this one. Dinner on the veranda at Sylvan Lake Lodge capped it off as the most scenic meal of the week.

Wednesday was a rest day well spent. Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse in the same day, two of America's treasures on the 250th anniversary. A few headed south to explore Wind Cave National Park.

We gathered again for dinner at the Buglin' Bull in Custer, serving up everything from wild game to salmon.

More Black Hills magic ahead.

Day one of our 4th annual Mickelson Trail ride is in the books, and the sun with perfect temps made sure it was a good one.

44 miles from Rock Crest Lodge in Custer to Edgemont, with South Dakota's scenery as the backdrop the whole way. Monday's dinner at Sage Creek Grille hit the spot to cap things off.

We've said it before and we'll keep saying it: the Mickelson Trail is probably the best maintained rail trail we know. South Dakota sets the standard and every mile proves it.

That's a wrap on the 2nd annual BPP Cowboy Trail ride, and what a week it was.

From the Sandhills of Valentine to the finish line in Norfolk, Nebraska, this trail delivered everything we hoped for and then some. Stunning scenery, charming small towns, and Nebraskans who made us feel welcome at every stop.

And speaking of Norfolk, did you know it's the hometown of a pretty famous guy? Johnny Carson would have appreciated the laughs we had out here this week.

The Cowboy Trail is still one of America's hidden gems. If it's not on your radar yet, consider this your sign. BPP is planning to ride it again June 9 - 14, 2027. Don't miss out!

Nebraska, you keep raising the bar.

Newport has the best little pool hall a bike trail ever had.

Bassett delivered one of the more unique stops we've had on any ride. A tour of the Bassett Livestock Auction that was educational and only-in-Nebraska. Then dinner at The Shack where mom-and-daughter duo Sydney and Christine absolutely crushed it. That's the kind of meal you talk about for the rest of the trip.

Wednesday morning's ride kicked off at the tail end of some much-needed rain, the kind the farming community here has been waiting on.

The Cowboy Trail keeps showing us why it deserves a spot on every cyclist's bucket list. The scenery is stunning, but it's the people in these communities that really stay with you.

The end of the Cowboy Trail is coming too fast, but we’ll enjoy the best of it while we’re here!

Nebraska, you have our hearts. And we're only two days in.

The Cowboy Trail is already delivering everything we hoped for and then some. Beautiful Sandhills scenery, charming small towns rich in heritage, and Nebraskans who make us feel so very welcome at every stop.

A must stop for coffee in Long Pine, Coffee Vault never disappoints. And Sandhills Lounge in Long Pine is a perfect way to end a day on the trail. 🍽️

And to the kids who gave us the greatest welcome committee, you made our day. 👋

The 2nd ever BPP ride on Nebraska's Cowboy Trail has begun, and we’re already hooked.

Sunday we gathered in Valentine, NE and after giving away the last backpacks we kicked things off with a vineyard tour and dinner at Niobrara Valley Vineyards in Nenzel. Wine in the Nebraska Sandhills. Yes, really. And yes, it's worth the detour.

Then there's the trail itself. The Niobrara River Bridge just outside of Valentine will stop anyone in their tracks, just ask Michael. The Sandhills have a way of doing that.

This is only the second ever ride on the Cowboy Trail for BPP, and it already has our hearts. Start asking yourself why this one isn't on your calendar yet. 👀

Friends, after three years and what felt like an infinite supply…the last black Bubba backpack has officially left the building.

When we took over, we inherited so many of these things they filled an entire garage, packed floor to ceiling. We have given them away on nearly every ride since. Some of you now have two. Some of you have three. You know who you are. 👀

Sunday at The Cowboy Trail check-in, the very last ones found their forever homes.
It's the end of an era. A heavily-backpacked era.

New era with new SWAG. But nothing will ever fill a garage quite like those backpacks did. 😄
