Thursday’s inn-to-inn ride may have been the highlight of the week! We rolled out from the Anderson School and followed the Burke-Gilman Trail into Seattle. Our scenic SAG stop at Gas Works Park offered stunning views of the Seattle skyline. After cruising out to Golden Gardens for a relaxing beach break on Puget Sound, we watched boats pass through the locks and salmon battle their way up the fish ladder. From there, we climbed into Magnolia and up to Discovery Park for sweeping views.
After soaking in the incredible scenery on Magnolia Boulevard, we descended to the waterfront, riding through Myrtle Edwards Park and the Olympic Sculpture Park. The day wrapped up at the iconic Edgewater Hotel, our home for the night, followed by a stroll through Pike Place Market and dinner at Anthony’s Pier 66, right over the water.
Friday was another inn-to-inn ride that took us from the Edgewater Hotel across Lake Washington to Mercer Island, where we tackled a scenic loop beloved by local cyclists for its rolling hills on the charming island neighborhood. From there, we headed east to Bellevue for a refreshing SAG stop before continuing down the east side of Lake Washington to Coulon Beach Park.
Our ride wrapped up with a connection to the Green River Trail, which led us straight to our hotel for the night.
We capped off the day with a fabulous farewell dinner overlooking Puget Sound, soaking in the views one last time. It was a perfect end to an unforgettable week. Everyone will surely miss their new friends, and can the weather get any better than this?!

We kicked off Tuesday at Lake Sammamish State Park, riding along the scenic east shore of the lake to Marymoor Park, where we made a fun SAG stop at the Velodrome. From here, riders had two options: one group took a relaxed ride through Woodinville Wine Country on the Sammamish River Trail. The other group embraced the challenge of the 520 Bridge route, passing through Microsoft Campus, crossing the world’s longest floating bridge, and getting a close-up view of Husky Stadium before jumping onto the famous Burke-Gilman Trail. We all reunited at McMenamins Anderson School, a quirky hotel in Bothell, to unwind and celebrate our day before enjoying a delicious dinner at Poquitos Bothell next door.
Wednesday’s ride took us along the Centennial Trail, starting in Snohomish and heading toward the historic Nakashima Barn, the northern endpoint of the trail. We had a SAG stop to enjoy cool ice cream on a warm day, recharging for the ride ahead. This ideal out-and-back gave riders 60 miles of scenic, relaxed riding with a variety of views to take in along the way!

Sunday, we gathered on Snoqualmie Ridge, nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. After our rider orientation and a delicious pizza party, we took a short trip down the hill to admire Snoqualmie Falls and the Salish Lodge. The views were breathtaking!
Our ride on Monday was nothing short of epic. We set off from Lake Easton, following the legendary Palouse to Cascades Rail-Trail. This incredible route took us through historic tunnels, across towering railroad trestles, and into the heart of a lush evergreen forest. A real highlight was cooling off in the Snoqualmie Tunnel, the longest rail-trail tunnel in the USA at 2.3 miles, a truly unforgettable experience.
After emerging from the tunnel, we descended to our second SAG stop by Rattlesnake Lake. We then rode along the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley Trail, with its peaceful river views, before wrapping up the day with a delicious dinner at Francesco Ristorante Italiano, just a short walk from our hotel.
