Thirteen years of opening my doors to strangers… ❤️
One of the unexpected gifts of running the Dungeness Barn House has been the people.
For 13 years, people from all over the world have arrived here as strangers. They sleep under my roof, wander through my gardens, sit by the water—and very often leave feeling a little more like friends.
And you know what I’ve learned?
People are mostly pretty wonderful.
In all those years and all those guests, I can honestly think of only one person I wouldn’t welcome back.
That’s a pretty darn good batting average. 😂
Life has a funny way of teaching you who you want to surround yourself with.
I’m feeling very grateful for the people who have found their way to the Barn House—and for the ones who haven’t found us yet. ❤️
