Sevierville City Park Closures Begin Aug 25 🚧

Big changes are coming to Sevierville City Park as a major 15-month improvement project kicks off Monday, August 25, 2025. Several areas will be temporarily closed, including all ball fields, restrooms, and the riverside parking area.

✅ What’s staying open?
The tennis & pickleball courts, dog park, playground, and Family Aquatic Center will remain open with minimal interruptions. Temporary restrooms will be available near the playground.

Our Story

My name is Pat Kirchhoefer. My husband and I, over the past several years have started acquiring log cabin vacation rental homes in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Don has been a grain and dairy farmer his entire life, and is now retired. I am a retired full service jeweler of 31 years. Our daughter is the 5th generation on this Illinois farm, which my husband’s ancestors purchased from the state of Illinois just after the civil war.

In August, 2012 we acquired our first cabin, and ow own two luxury rated cabins.

Bearfoot Paradise is located in Smoky Cove Resort. It sleeps up to 16 people. It is our largest cabin, 3600 square feet. The lower level boasts a large theater room that also doubles as a bedroom of sorts since it has a private 1/2 bath and large walk in closet with a full size cedar chest of drawers. The theater room will sleep up to 4 people. Smoky Cove Resort is located between Covered Bridge Resort and Bear Creek Crossing Resort. It is 5 minutes from either resort.

Bearfoot Adventure is as its name implies. We named this cabin Bearfoot Adventure because it sits on 1.9 acres at the top of Sky Harbor Resort and has a mountain vista view. The wildlife abound and children will have a great time exploring and playing in the yard. This cabin is our true home away from home. There is everything to love about this great home and is our most rustic cabin. Sky Harbor Resort is located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
