Twas the night before Disney
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The loungefly’s were hung by the doorway with care
In hopes that I would soon be in the Mouse’s care.
The Disney adults were nestled all snug in their beds;
while Mickey shaped foods danced in their heads.

Last year my parents went on a well deserved romantic getaway to Disney. And they had lots of fun! The holidays are already magical with the family time, decorations, food. So imagine what it would be like to escape the northeast snow and get in some Disney magic.

I asked them what their favorite part of the trip was… and without hesitation they said Jollywood Nights. I mean look at them meeting Bing B**g and Lotso?! The treats were delicious (they even brought me home a Gertie sugar cookie 😋). And they got to go on slinky dog dash with it only being a 20 minute wait. Only 20 minutes and no sweltering heat?! I think all of us Disney fans can get behind that!!

I’m hoping to go this year to give everyone a detailed review and share some of my favorite treats. I also of course want to meet Bing Bing because we all know Bing B**g is my favorite 🤞

Yay!! JetBlue!!!!
Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer service has to be one of my favorite amenities at these Disney resorts. You can drop off your luggage and get more stress free time at the parks. This means less time spent at the airport andddd… you don’t have to struggle to carry all of your bags into the airport!!! 😭

With summer coming to an end let’s talk about one of my FAVORITE after hours events at Disney! H2O glow night! Imagine seeing some of your favorite Disney characters, relaxing in the lazy river, listening to early 2000s Disney music, and low wait times for all of your favorite water slides! As for the food… you get free Mickey ice cream bars/ sandwiches, free popcorn, free soda and water. And on top of all of that you can purchase some of the event exclusive foods! Pictured below are the pizza egg rolls… we ate far too many ice cream sandwiches to try some of the other food options! 😂

Let’s talk about our second resort for our girls trip.🩷 Port Orleans Riverside!! This is truly one of those resorts that makes you stop and ask yourself if what you’re experiencing is real. The rooms have the perfect touch of Disney magic and are themed after the movie Princess and the Frog! I think my favorite part would have to be how this resort looks at night, it truly makes you feel like you are on the bayou. I spent most nights walking around and exploring the resort and in my opinion this is one of the more quiet and relaxed resorts. I think even the Disney animals feel this way too. You will find lots of bunnies and ducks enjoying the resort, hanging out by the fountains and taking in the scenery! I love being able to grab a book, sit on a bench, and relax. You are also only a short walk away from French Quarters. Mason and I had to get pictures with the gators and grab some beignets of course! Overall such a gorgeous resort!

Okay everyone… now that the girls trip info has been dropped. Let’s talk about THE hotel options! On this post we’re going to talk a little bit about Pop Century!
Pop Century is my nostalgia resort haha. And there’s many benefits to staying here. I think the biggest one would have to be access to the skyliner so you can easily get to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The rooms are pretty spacious and they don’t lack even a bit of Disney flair, no matter where you are in the resort there’s always a touch of Disney magic! From the tie dye food court to the yo-yo staircases there’s a little bit of everything ! There’s multiple pools to enjoy and the snack options are a must try. One of my favorite would have to be the Tye Dye cheesecake which has been one of my favorites since I was ten. I would eat one and watch Timon and pumba safety videos in the food court iykyk 👀 However, one of my new favorites would have to be the cookie butter croissant! Which is super flaky and stuffed with a delicious cookie butter filling! Overall there’s no better feeling at any Disney resort then coming back from a park day to your Disney pillows and a good Disney movie on the tv ❤️
