With all the talk of artificial intelligence these days, I have to say I’m not that impressed. Show me some AI that can remove barnacles. That’s AI we can use. That and grinding, painting, wiring, oil changes, and getting airlock out of a vacuflush toilet.

It was close to 50 degrees and raining most of February in Sitka. It was looking like there would be very little snow even up at elevation, which wouldn’t be good for water levels in the rivers this summer.

Luckily March has been cold and we’ve gotten quite a bit of snow. So it looks like the fish will have water to swim in and we’ll have snow capped peaks in our pictures. Our season is getting underway and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Was having a cup of coffee watching the sun come up January 1 when I saw the Hawken heading out of the harbor. The folks at catch a lot of and they’re among the few who get after it summer and winter. I flagged them down, jumped in and by 10 or so we had a couple kings to the boat. We shook a and as well before heading in.

Nice getting the year off on the right foot and you can’t beat dinner of fresh winter king salmon . Thanks guys!
