The craziest, sweetest thing kept happening at the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum! Groups of beautiful little Egyptian girls kept surrounding me, asking to take pictures with me and telling me they loved me.

This happened about four different times, and I still have no clue who they thought I was! But whoever they thought they met, I hope I made their day as much as they made mine.

And excuse the camera work—my camera guy forgot he was recording for just a hot second!

No way we were coming all the way to Egypt without getting some fragrances! We finished it off with a hibiscus drink toast, and it was absolutely delicious!

My husband and I had the opportunity to take communion, pray, and give thanks in the very place where our Savior Jesus Christ was hidden in Cairo, Egypt.

This is something I’ve been anticipating ever since I began planning this group trip. It was at the top of my list of things to do. What a powerful moment to step into the place where your Savior once was hidden.

We visited Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, also known as Abu Serga, in Coptic Cairo. Beneath the church is the cave where baby Jesus took shelter with Mary and Joseph while fleeing King Herod. We even got to stand around the well where the Holy Family drank water.

To share this experience with my husband and with those that also believe meant so much to me. Once the chills hit my body, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing. I felt like I became one with my Savior.

Jesus, I thank You for choosing me long before I had enough sense to choose You.
