I am soo ready for fall STUUURG! The bite window has been unpredictable. I was out for a couple hours on Thursday evening and caught em’ between 7 and 8, and they shut off at dark. Last night, I found them loaded in my honey hole, but they would not bite. I did catch 3 flatheads, including one 40”. I got off the water at 10pm and I started hearing some chatter that they just started biting up in Stillwater. That’s fishing! 🎣

3rd times a charm! 🍀 This is the Ault families 3rd year fishing with me. And guesses what!?! Biggest walleye for these kids! This walleye was hanging onto an 8” sauger that must have been going for a ride for several kilometers 🤣🤣🤣Pulling planer boards doesn’t always trigger a flag. Well son of a 🔫 the board about went under with this fish?! Emma got tired of reeling it in, so she handed it off to her brother, Alex. I thought for sure, we had a cat fish on. Then I saw what I saw. And after that, I entered a whole nother dimension of excitement 🎆 I think I most definitely was more excited than they were. All well jamming to Forrest Frank!!!

The WALLEYE BITE ain’t dead! We averaged a fish every five minutes yesterday. The cat fish are certainly active, and everything is hitting Salmo Hornet #5’s & 4.5 rattlers. Can’t get em to hit live bait, so we are trolling lead these days. Keep em’ tight fellow fisher friends! 🎣
