I can’t believe it’s been 7 years! My dad texted me to ask when we climbed Rainier and my response was “ 5 years ago, I think”, thank goodness for FB memories 🤣. Time flies when you are doing the damn thang.

The mountains are a special place for me. I feel closer to my best friend ✨ and to be honest closer to myself. 🏔️

I gathered this group of friends and family for this epic adventure. We trained together practiced our safety and rescue techniques leading up to it. The first night we camped in an ice storm 🥶. We started with 3 teams and 2 summited, including my rope team of 3 (all women).

It was the hardest physical thing I have done. With asthma and my comadre 🩸visiting days early on the summit push it became a game of GRIT.

It’s fun to revisit this feature and reminisce while hanging with the little one.

This summer I hit the big 40 which is crazy to think about 🎂. Our family is complete and our newest little acorn 🐿️ is settling so well. To celebrate we spent some time at our favorite place in the woods 🏔️🌲 and my lovely mother ( ) made one of my favorite meals! 40 is the new 30…that’s what I say🤣. I am so grateful for this time to bond. We are only guaranteed this moment so I am cherishing every minute.❤️✨

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷✨ I never imagined myself as a mother until I became one. I once said “I worked too hard to get to where I am, I am not leaving “. After leveling up in a male dominated military industrial industry I thought it would be silly to leave! It wasn’t until I had my 1st son that I was willing to make some big changes to be the mom I wanted to be and live the life I wanted. As the seasons of life change I am confident in my priorities as a mom, wife , leader and small business owner. Building out a strong foundation of leadership competencies and skill sets allows me to thrive supporting my health and spending time with my family. I am a firm believer that you have to take care of yourself first before you can extend yourself to family, friends and community. As women we are strong creators capable of miracles and today we celebrate those women creating and/or nurturing life through motherhood ✨. I can’t think of anything grittier than being a mom. 💪🏽

Vacations look a little different these days 🏖️. I have done a lot of trave adventures in my earlier days ✈️🧳. With a little one and another on the way I find simple is better. I work to simplify my home, career and business consistently but one of the most influential motivators to reevaluate my priorities is bringing a child 👩🏽‍🍼into the world. This is a big transition-physically, emotionally and mentally 🎢. How have you adapted to major life changes and what did you learn along the way?

You don’t need a new calendar 🗓️ year, fancy degree 🎓, or a list of new habits to create the version of yourself you have been longing for. They don’t hurt but they aren’t the secret sauce 🥫. Ask me how I know 🤓. I truly believe 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗬 𝓲𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓝𝓮𝔀 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗬 because I have seen how GRIT and a very strong WHY can increase women’s vibration while opening up opportunities to thrive🙌🏽.

I have lived life on a plateau with no vision for my future. Out of tragedy and grief I became a leader, mountain climber, small biz owner, non-profit president , and certified change practitioner all while leveling up at an accelerated rate in a large male dominated military industrial organization. With a strong “WHY” I leveled 🆙 to level out ⤴️of a very niche career and now have the job satisfaction and the work life balance I could have only dreamed off✨

My passion is to empower other women in their professional development and life journey.
