This summer, take the opportunity to get out and explore the Foss Waterway! 🌊

Join Foss Waterway Seaport staff on four different Sundays throughout the summer for a tour of the waterway via kayaks, courtesy of Foss Harbor Marina, and learn about the history and nature surrounding Tacoma. During your two hour experience, we will have a brief safety discussion, life jacket sizing, and an overview of basic kayaking skills before going out on the water. During your tour, guides will share moments from Tacoma's long history and provide insight into the plants and animals that call Commencement Bay their home.

We currently have four opportunities:

-Sunday, July 19th, 10:30am-12:30pm
-Sunday, July 26th, 10:30am-12:30pm
-Sunday, August 16th, 10:30am-12:30pm
-Sunday, September 9th, 10:30am-12:30pm

Participants will be in tandem (double) kayaks, so bring a friend or make a new pal! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; please contact us at [email protected] if your child is younger than 13.

Register for a tour here: https://www.fosswaterwayseaport.org/blog-post/kayak-tours-2026

Questions? Email [email protected] and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as we can. See you out on the water!
