Capitol reef adventure company wants to wish a very happy 18th birthday to Miles! A great junior guide in training, a state champion golfer, salutatorian in his class, heading to college on an academic scholarship, and the list of accomplishments goes on… we are proud to brag on those things but more proud of the thoughtful, kind, considerate, gentle, fun and funny, compassionate, smart, generous, and all around wonderful human being that you are. Thanks for making me a dad 18 years ago. Thanks for being my adventure and golfing buddy. Thanks for being so good to your mom and siblings. We are excited to see all the places you go in life. Love you Miles!

No words, just tears and all the feelings. Almost 10 years ago I started going up to eagle point to ski patrol. Made a whole new family of friends up there on the mountain. Got to raise all my kids on skis because of the affordability of the place…we were lucky to find a condo we could afford before all the prices jumped up and made so many great memories there. We were so lucky to share that place with a lot of family and friends. Elessa always referred to it as her “happy place” Devastating that just like that it’s gone. Takes a long time to put togther ski packages for a family of 5… from boots to skis, to gloves and socks, bibs and googles and helmets, all 5x over!!! And there are many others sharing in the pain that are even more negatively impacted than us. Our friend Mark lived up there full time. Many depended on the resort for their jobs. For everyone it was a special place, a quirky fun weird community that we all got to share in. The grief of this will come in waves. So sad. Prayers and good energy being sent to all those impacted and the fire crews that are out there trying to control that tinder box. Love to the EP family, ski patrol brothers, and everyone that made the mountain such a special place the last 10 years for the Hinkle family.

Summer family road trip. Redwoods and then up the Oregon coast. Incredibly grateful for quality time with family, kids being engaged with us an each other, and the ability to provide the family with this experience. Redwoods, tide pools, beach and ocean time, sunsets, riding horses on the beach…

Super fun crew to adventure with! Lots of laughs, great views, and good times. Still a good time to book a canyon trip. Early starts ensure we beat the heat. Come to Capitol reef, go canyoneering, have fun, rinse and repeat.

Big bro teaching lil bro the ropes… hard to believe the older one is heading to college here soon. I sure hope I keep getting to share canyons with both of them and that someday they will take off on their own adventures. ☀️

Happy Memorial Day! We love getting to share adventures with families and help make memories. Getting kids to experience this sport young can build confidence and get them interested in pursuing other big adventures. Shout outs to all the parents who help their kiddos in creating memories like yesterday!

We take great pride in making sure our trips and adventures will be the highlight of our guests’ time in Utah. We have a great time of knowledgeable, safe, fun, professional guides who know how to balance all of that with being patient, supportive, and laid back. Our reviews speak for themselves, and while we take great pride in being awesome guides, we are wise enough to know that the canyons and the landscape do most of the work for us. Canyoneering is an awesome sport that engages us to work as a team and takes us to explore the most amazing spaces. Hope you will come and join us on an adventure soon!

Superior slots and superb guides. Awfully fun getting to share an adventure, some stories, and a campfire with the guys. A couple of days of mind blowing canyons.

Major rock fall that we went to check out after a recent canyoneering trip. My son and I had just got done guiding Pete’s dragon, one of our classic trips for beginner friendly groups. The previous day someone had shared a pic of a dust cloud coming out of a neighboring canyon. We went up to investigate…. Mind boggling to check it all out and think about this will alter to the canyon and area below. How many millions of pounds of rock, trees cut in half and buried in the rubble, less than 24 hours and already the rock has dammed up the creek a small pond. Super fun to let the mind think on all that nature has going on.

Strong bonds are built doing hard things together. Canyoneering routes all offer different levels of challenges, but team building and making memories together are a guaranteed part of the journey.
