Tehachapi’s Visitor Center is the front door to Tehachapi. Our volunteers love welcoming everyone who walks in and are interested in learning more about this wonderful town. We are open Thursday - Sunday each week from 11am - 3pm. Volunteers work 3 hour shifts and many dedicate at least one shift a month.

In order to stay open, the center needs more volunteers. All it takes is one 3 hour shift a month to keep this front door open. Training is provided, so if you love meeting new people and sharing the wonders of Tehachapi, message or email us to get more information and become a volunteer today!

Chasing neon, one photo at a time.

Tehachapi is full of hidden gems, but there's something special about our vintage neon signs. They add a splash of nostalgia, a pop of color, and the perfect backdrop for your next photo adventure.

Do you know why this amazing mural is up in downtown?
It's a fascinating piece of Tehachapi history that's often overlooked.

Long before overnight shipping, pilots flew through our mountain skies delivering the nation's mail. It's one of those fascinating pieces of Tehachapi history that many locals, and visitors, have never heard. Visit Tehachapi and discover what made it so fascinating!

Did you know we supplied apples to many places outside of Tehachapi in the 1900s? Can you guess where? Or have you seen of our vintage boxes when travelling?
