Beach and island destinations are my specialty. Hawaii, French Polynesia, the Caribbean, the South Pacific - that's where my deepest knowledge lives and where I do my most confident work.

But luxury travel takes many forms. And part of serving clients well is knowing how to deliver the same level of thoughtful, seamless planning across destinations that fall outside my primary wheelhouse.

Alaska is one of those destinations. Dramatic, remote, and genuinely unlike anywhere else in the world. Not a beach trip - but absolutely a luxury experience for the right traveler.

I have clients headed there this summer, and it happens to be one of the places Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society is headed in 2027 - a Princess cruise departing July 31st. If Alaska has been on your radar, that's the conversation to start now.

Bora Bora: Instagram vs. reality.

Reality? Still this blue. Still this dreamy. Still completely worth the hype.

Some places really do live up to the dream. ✨

Most clients come to me with an idea. A destination they’ve been dreaming about. A week they’ve set aside. A feeling they’re after.

What happens next is the part that doesn’t get talked about much.

The research. The property evaluation. The room category decisions. The logistics conversations. The confirmation checks and the contingency thinking.

None of that is visible by the time you’re standing at check-in. And it shouldn’t be. The whole point is that it feels effortless.

But it’s there. And it’s the reason the trip works.

That’s what a specialist is for.

In one month, we leave for PalmaΓ―a.

If July 17 has been sitting in the back of your mind as something you keep meaning to look into β€” this is your sign to stop meaning to and actually do it.

Four days on the Riviera Maya. All-inclusive. Plant-forward food that will genuinely surprise you. Wellness programming with zero pressure. And the kind of unhurried pace that busy people forget is even possible.

The Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society heads there July 17–20. A few spots remain.

A honeymoon is one of the few trips where getting the details wrong actually matters.

Not because it ruins the trip - but because so much of the experience lives in the feeling of it. And that feeling is shaped by details most couples don't know to ask about.

Swipe through for the five planning mistakes I see most often - and how to avoid every one of them.

If you're newly engaged - or you know someone who is - this is the conversation worth having early.

PalmaΓ―a sits on the southern edge of Playa del Carmen - close enough to everything, far enough to forget it exists.

400 hectacres of virgin jungle. The sea on one side, untouched nature on the other. And somehow, all-inclusive.

This is where the Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society spends July 17–20. Time is running out to join us.

A gentle reminder that rest is not a reward. It is part of the plan. πŸŒ…

At PalmaΓ―a, your days are yours to design. Morning movement or morning coffee in bed β€” no judgment on either. Ancient spa rituals or an afternoon in the cenote. Dinner with the group or a quiet table on the terrace watching the sun go down.

This trip was designed for people who know they need it and keep putting it off.

July 17–20 from Houston. A few spots remain. Link in bio.

New Zealand isn't the first place luxury travelers think of. That's exactly why it's worth thinking about.

It's not a beach destination in the traditional sense. There's no overwater bungalow waiting for you.

What it offers instead is something different - dramatic, unhurried, and genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else in the world.

"To say New Zealand is beautiful is an understatement. It is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been. It's hard to describe, but it's a naturally calming country."

That's a client, just back from exploring Queenstown, Milford Sound, and Waiheke Island.

For the right traveler - someone who's done the beach trips, who wants to feel moved by a place rather than just relaxed by it - this is a destination worth serious consideration.

And it happens to be where Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society is headed in 2027. More details to come.

Before we talk about where - we talk about what.

What does this trip actually need to do for you? Is it rest? A milestone? An adventure? A reconnection with someone you’ve been moving too fast alongside?

Because the right destination shifts completely depending on the answer.

Two clients can want the same week away and need completely different trips. Getting that match right is the work. And it starts before any resort is ever mentioned.

If you’re starting to think about a trip and you’re not sure where to begin - that’s exactly where I come in.

You know that feeling when you’ve been running so hard for so long that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to actually stop?

PalmaΓ―a is where that stops.

Four days in the jungle on the Riviera Maya. Plant-forward food that will genuinely surprise you. Wellness programming you can engage with as much or as little as you want. And the kind of unhurried, easy pace that busy people forget is even possible.

This is what a nervous system reset actually looks like.

The Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society heads there July 17–20. A few spots remain.
