You should be at Epic Universe at least 30 minutes before Early Park Admission begins—and yes, that means arriving at the park 30 minutes early, not leaving your hotel then. 😂

That gives you time to get through security, enter the park and get into position before they begin letting guests farther inside.

You’ll hear some people recommend arriving an hour early. That isn’t wrong, but I think it depends on how badly you want to be near the front of the crowd. For most families, 30 minutes early is a realistic target. If being one of the first people into Super Nintendo World is the entire mission, give yourself closer to an hour.

Early Park Admission at Epic Universe sounds simple—get into the park early and ride more before the crowds arrive.

But it’s not quite that simple. 😂

What’s available can change, transportation can take longer than expected, and the best place to start really depends on your family. A family hoping to ride Mine-Cart Madness may need a completely different plan than one with younger children who really want to ride Yoshi’s Adventure.

In my newest video, I’m sharing what we’ve experienced during Early Park Admission, how early I think you should leave your hotel, and what I would consider before choosing your first ride.

Where would your family go first?

Disney announced A LOT at D23 2026, and there are definitely things I'm excited about. Villains Land is probably at the top of my list!

But after all the announcements, I was still left wondering one thing… when?

We got some exciting new details, but we still don't have firm opening dates for many of the biggest projects.

So if you already have a Walt Disney World trip planned, should you reconsider it? Personally, I wouldn't.

I put together my thoughts on what these announcements actually mean for families planning a Disney vacation, including when I would consider waiting for something new to open.

Disney shared a LOT of exciting news at D23, but if you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation, my biggest takeaway is… I wouldn’t change your plans just yet. 🏰✨

We’re getting Piston Peak, Villains Land, major changes at Animal Kingdom, Monstropolis, the return of Dreamfinder and more — but for many of these projects, we still don’t have firm opening dates.

The biggest thing I’d watch if you’re planning for 2027 is Monstropolis. Disney confirmed the land will begin opening in 2027, but the Door Coaster will come in a later phase.

Disney World is almost always going to have something new on the horizon. Unless one of these new attractions is the main reason for your trip, I wouldn’t keep putting off a vacation waiting for everything to be finished.

Apparently being a little less intense about your theme park vacation is kinda chic now… and I am HERE for it. 😂✨

I love planning theme park vacations. I love having a strategy. I will absolutely have a plan for where we’re going, what we’re eating and what we want to accomplish.

But somewhere along the way, I think we’ve made people feel like they’re doing Disney or Universal wrong if they aren’t maximizing every second.

You don’t have to.

Sometimes getting your money’s worth looks like riding 15 attractions.

Sometimes it looks like going back to the hotel in the middle of the afternoon because everyone is hot and tired.

Sometimes it’s skipping the attraction everyone on TikTok says you HAVE to ride.

And sometimes it’s sitting in Diagon Alley for an hour with a drink, doing absolutely nothing — which, for the record, I highly recommend. 😂

Your kids probably won’t remember whether you perfectly optimized every minute of your itinerary. They might remember that you watched their favorite show twice. Or that afternoon at the pool. Or the random snack break where everyone sat around laughing.

Good vacation planning isn’t about doing everything. It’s about making room for the things that matter to your family.

And that might look completely different from the vacation someone else planned.

So… kinda chic to stop worrying about having the perfect theme park vacation and just make some memories. ❤️
