Norway has been showing up in my Facebook memories the past few days, and it’s definitely giving me a case of wanderlust.

Three years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Norway on a cruise, and it remains one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The fjords, waterfalls, charming towns, and dramatic mountain scenery are every bit as spectacular as you’ve heard.

Seeing those memories again has me thinking about a return visit. This time, though, I’d love to experience Norway from a different perspective with a land tour.

Yes, Hawaii is a long flight.

Every time I hear someone say they're not sure if they want to spend that much time on an airplane, I understand completely.

Then I remember standing on a beach in Hawaii, watching the waves roll in, feeling the trade winds, and realizing there's simply nowhere else in the United States quite like it.

The scenery, culture, food, and spirit of aloha make Hawaii feel like a world away.

For many travelers, Hawaii isn't just another vacation. It's a bucket-list destination that creates memories they'll talk about for years.

In my experience, nobody comes home from Hawaii wishing they hadn't gone.

If you see a grizzly bear carrying binoculars, you're probably in the right place!

If two grizzly bears are willing to pause their busy schedules of fishing, napping, and looking for salmon to admire Glacier Bay National Park, maybe they're onto something.

In all seriousness, Glacier Bay is one of the biggest reasons I recommend this particular Alaska itinerary. Only a limited number of ships are permitted to enter the park, making it one of the most sought-after experiences in Alaska cruising.

One of the things I love about planning a Hawaii vacation is helping my clients discover experiences beyond the beach.

One of the things I'm looking forward to during my upcoming Danube River Cruise is dinner at Caru' cu Bere in Bucharest.

This historic restaurant has been welcoming guests since 1879 and is known for its beautiful architecture, traditional Romanian cuisine, and lively atmosphere. It's the kind of place many travelers would never discover if they simply flew in on embarkation day and rushed straight to their ship.

That's one of the reasons I always recommend arriving at least one day before your cruise, river cruise, escorted tour, or vacation package begins. With this cruise, we'll be arriving two days before our cruisetour.

An extra night (or two!) gives you time to recover from your flight, adjust to the time change, and experience the destination itself. Sometimes that means exploring a famous bookstore, joining a local food tour, wandering through a historic district, or enjoying a memorable meal at a place like Caru' cu Bere.

When people hear "Disney's Aulani," they often assume it's just for families with young children.

As someone who has stayed there more than once, I can tell you that's not the case at all.

Aulani is one of my favorite resorts in Hawaii. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is fantastic, and the resort does an incredible job incorporating Hawaiian culture throughout the experience.

One of my favorite memories is simply relaxing by the pool, enjoying the ocean views, and watching the sunset from Ko Olina.

One of my favorite cruise memories takes me back to the inaugural British Isles sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line.

While I enjoyed every port on that cruise, Liverpool was the one I had been looking forward to the most. As a lifelong Beatles fan, there was no way I was going to miss the opportunity to take a Beatles tour through the city where it all began.

We visited famous landmarks connected to The Beatles, saw places tied to their early lives and careers, and spent the day immersed in the stories behind the music that shaped a generation. It was one of those excursions where every stop brought back memories of songs I had known for years.

Liverpool itself was a wonderful surprise. The city has such a rich history, a beautiful waterfront, and a sense of pride in its musical heritage that you can feel everywhere you go.

Looking back, it was one of those travel days that reminded me why I love cruising. You wake up somewhere new, step ashore, and suddenly find yourself standing in a place you’ve only read about or seen in documentaries.

A Beatles tour in Liverpool had been on my bucket list for years, and it absolutely lived up to every expectation.
