Norway has been showing up in my Facebook memories the past few days, and it’s definitely giving me a case of wanderlust.
Three years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Norway on a cruise, and it remains one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The fjords, waterfalls, charming towns, and dramatic mountain scenery are every bit as spectacular as you’ve heard.
Seeing those memories again has me thinking about a return visit. This time, though, I’d love to experience Norway from a different perspective with a land tour.
One itinerary that caught my attention is Globus’ Best of Norway tour, which includes many of the sights that make Norway so special:
🚂 A journey on the famous Flåm Railway
💦 Steinsdalsfossen, where you can walk behind the waterfall
⛪ The remarkable Borgund Stave Church, dating back to 1180
🏔️ Scenic drives through the heart of Norway’s mountain landscapes
🏘️ Time to explore beautiful Bergen, including the historic Bryggen waterfront
There’s something appealing about slowing down and experiencing these incredible landscapes by road and rail, rather than from the deck of a ship.
If Norway is on your bucket list, this is the kind of trip that could turn that dream into reality.
And if you’ve been before, would you go back by cruise…or by land?
