The Giant's Causeway is made up of around 40,000 basalt columns, most of them forming those distinctive hexagonal shapes you see stretching out into the sea.

They were created by volcanic activity around 60 million years ago, although the site has its own explanation in Irish legend, with the giant Finn McCool.

History at Kerry County Museum isn't just something you read about. During its living history events, visitors can meet characters from Ireland's past and get a better idea of what everyday life actually looked like.

Helena Stackpoole is one of the museum's living history facilitators, bringing some of those stories to life through hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Walking into the Long Room at Trinity College is one of those moments that lives up to expectations. The library stretches nearly 65 meters long and houses more than 200,000 of the institution's oldest books.

It's also home to the famous Book of Kells exhibition, making it one of the most visited cultural sites in Ireland.

Sometimes it's the details that catch your attention first. This ornate gate frames the path toward one of Derry's historic churches, offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship found throughout the city.

It's the kind of feature that's easy to walk past, but worth stopping for.

From above, the scale of the Giant's Causeway becomes even more impressive. Around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns stretch out toward the sea, formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago.

Whether you prefer the geological explanation or the legend of Finn McCool, it's one of those places that looks just as remarkable in person as it does in photos.

Traditional Irish music sounds different when you're hearing it in a pub where it happens every week. At Peadar O'Donnell's, musicians gather for live sessions that fill the room with fiddles, flutes, and songs that have been passed down for generations.

Pull up a chair, order a pint, and before long you'll find yourself staying longer than planned.

At Brookfield Farm, getting up close with the animals is part of the experience. Feeding sheep might seem simple, but it's often one of the highlights of the day, especially for visitors seeing Irish farm life firsthand.

It's a chance to slow down, ask questions, and get a better understanding of how farming has shaped the Irish countryside for generations.

Riding along Streedagh Beach gives you a different perspective on the Sligo coastline. The beach stretches for miles, with views of Benbulben in one direction and the Atlantic in the other.

It’s also a place with a lot of history. Three ships from the Spanish Armada were wrecked off this coastline in 1588, making this one of Ireland’s most significant maritime heritage sites.
