Miss "M" is making the most of the end of her summer! We've got her all set up with 2 nights at Disney's All Star Music resort, 2 after hour events and a 1 day ticket to Disney's Magic Kingdom.

The after hours events are great ways to get all the rides done with shorter wait times while enjoying free soda and snacks!

It's always fun to have a trip planned to look forward to. Our next trip is aboard the Disney Magic. When we return we'll be checking out a new to us resort and staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. We'll be there for a few days relaxing, enjoying free water park on checkin for 2025 and then hitting Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We'll also get to see the new night time parade, Disney Starlight one night. We'll be returning to Florida for a long weekend in November to check out the magic on Main Street as Disney's Magic Kingdom gets covered in snow. Over the Christmas break we're working on a new vacation destination which I'm excited for. Next year toward the end of February Break we'll be cruising on the All New Disney Destiny.

While our upcoming trip list is very Disney oriented, I can help you book trips anywhere: All Inclusive resorts, Cruises, tropical destinations, staycations and more. I appreciate everyone who has given me the opportunity to help plan their vacations!

Time to play catch up on posting some of my recent bookings!

The "P" Family is heading to a magical multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World. They took advantage of all the summer savings and the free water park day on checkin.

The "S" Family is planning ahead for a future break and was able to get a reasonable rate at Disney's Contemporary. I'll be monitoring for promotions to lower the price further!

And last but not least, Mr. and Mrs. "A" are heading back to Bermuda. This is their favorite place to travel on board their favorite cruise line Celebrity!

Thank you all for trusting me with your trips!

Wanna get away? It's not too late to get away this summer! Or we can price something out for the winter or into next year! Reach out if you're looking to take a trip!

Summary: Universal was amazing. They did such a great job with Epic Universe. Helios hotel was amazing and the perk of being right next to Epic was awesome. We could easily have spent a day and a half or two days at Epic! While Universal has more rides that are geared towards older kids, there was enough stuff to keep James very entertained on this trip!

Trip Report:

Thursday:
Checked in to Helios Grand Hotel
Used the pool, had lunch poolside. They provide sunscreen by the pool so if you are like us and forgot to pull your sunscreen out before you give your bags to bell services you are covered!

Room was ready around 1:45 pm, we went to the room and decompressed from an early travel morning. In the afternoon we went to City Walk to check things out, and head to Toothsome Chocolate Emporium for dinner. It was good, I’d probably try other places on city walk next time.

Friday:
Universal has a compact list of rides available for early entry, mostly harry potter, so we did not do that as we wanted William to have a slow first impression of the Harry Potter areas. We had express pass unlimited for this day so we were able to ride things multiple times with reduced waits.

Islands of Adventure:

Rode Spider Man, Pteranodon Flyers (James went on and loved it!), James played in Camp Jurassic for a while. We went into the Jurassic Discovery center an checked that out for a bit. After that we went to the Suess area and rode all the rides there. We saw the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, Thing 2, The Grinch and Sam I Am. Next up was Hogsmeade! We rode Hagrid's magical creatures motorbike adventure and got front row which was awesome. Then we did Harry Potter Forbidden Journey. After that it was off to the Three Broomsticks for lunch. Mac and cheese for the kids, beef pasties for Britt and fish and chips for me. Then William got his wand from and did a few spells. Then it was off to the Hogwarts Express to King’s Cross Station. To go park to park without leaving you ride the Hogwart’s Express to the other park. Each direction is a different experience.

Universal Studios Florida:
After a quick ride on Escape from Gringotts, I took James to explore the fun kids area at the Dreamworks area. Britt and William spent time casting spells and leveling up around Diagon Alley. There are lots of spots to use the interactive wands there as well as many shops to explore. At Dreamworks, James learned kung fu from Po and played in the water areas to cool down. We regrouped, and headed over to Transformers ride and Minion Land. We did the fun Villain-Con Minion Blast. After that Britt and James headed back to the hotel and William and I ran back over to Islands of adventure to re-ride a few rides.

Saturday:

Epic Universe day! Helios hotel has a dedicated entrance for hotel guests. 8:15 we lined up for a 9am entry into the park. Right over to Super Nintendo land, we went in the warp pipe and off to Mario Kart: Bowsers Challenge. Right from there we went to Yoshi’s Adventure and as soon as we got off Mario and Luigi were meeting guests! We did a few activities around Super Nintendo land and headed out.

From there it was about 5 minutes until park open so we went to the Isle of Berk. William and I rode Hiccups Wing Glider’s twice, while Britt and James played in the viking training camp. After that we grabbed lunch at the Meade hall which was great. Mac and cheese bites w/ sausage, fries carrots and grapes for the kids, Sweedish Meatballs for Britt and Smoked Sausages with garlic potatoes for me. Then we went back to Super Nintendo Land. We found the keys, defeated Bowser jr and then split up.

James and I went back to the room since it’s right by the park, and Britt and William headed to 1920’s Paris into Harry Potter for more spell casting.

After a quick recharge, we were back to the park in minutes and right back over to Berk. We watched the Untrainable dragon which was amazing. After that, we went on Fyre drill to cool down, James and Britt saw Ruffnut and Tuffnut and interacted with them. On our way out of Berk we grabbed a PB&J(Pork, bacon and jam) Mac and Cheese Cone which was amazing.

At this point I split off and went on Stardust races. What an amazing experience. The dueling coaster aspect is so well done.

After this, it was time to head back to Mario Kart, Yoshi’s Adventure and more hitting blocks. We ventured into the Donkey Kong area but the mine cart line remained high all day so we did not get to ride.

As the night was coming to a close William and I rushed back to Berk and rode Hiccup’s Wing Gliders 3 more times and Britt and James watched the Nightime Fountain show.

Sunday:

Early park admission for me and William, we went straight to Hagrid’s and rode in 20 minutes compared to the 105 minute wait when we got off and then rode Flight of the Hippogriff. Britt and James’ joined us and we had breakfast at the Three Broomsticks. This was water ride day so we changed into bathing suits and crocs and did the Jurassic Park River Adventure, and Dudley Do Right’s Ripsaw falls. Britt and William did more Harry Potter spell casting while I took James back to his favorite water splash areas in Dreamworks area via the Hogwart’s Express. After that we headed to lunch at Minions Cafe and then caught the Universal Mega Movie Parade. Another quick run on Transformers ride and the villain-con an we were at the end of our day since we were flying home.
