Finger Lakes Pontoon Boat Rides (me 😊) would like to thank all the wonderful folks who cruised with me on beautiful Seneca Lake during the 2024 season. We hosted a record 112 groups and more than 500 passengers from 20 states, 5 foreign countries and 70-plus area codes. All on my little old pontoon! The Grapevine is stored away until she splashes down the ramp once more in May 2025. Check leospontoonboat.com soon for a new schedule and, upon request, a gift certificate option. The Saunders Finger Lakes Museum: Each time I drive by the construction site at the Saunders Finger Lakes Museum in Branchport, NY—I get more and more excited about what this will look like and offer to visitors. Top image I captured there today near Keuka Lake, bottom image is a rendering of what the finished product will look like. This will become a destination spot for folks across the region, as well as the countless tourists who visit the Finger Lakes. I’ll be doing more on this as progress continues. When our family counts its blessings, we count to 100. Our mom, Amelita Roth, celebrated a century of living this past weekend surrounded by loved ones, including most of her 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Thank you to the Town of Amherst for presenting a proclamation and for the many thoughtful gifts, flowers, cards and phone calls from our cousins, neighbors and friends. Abe Lincoln said, “It’s not the years in the life, it’s the life in the years.”
With boundless energy, strength, unconditional love, laughter, family and faith, Amelita has packed a lot of life in her years. “This is the best 100th birthday I ever had,” she smiled. Her advice is simple: all things in moderation, enjoy today and don’t worry so much.
Happy 100th birthday mom! 💯❤️🎂
