This will be our event location Saturday night. We actually had such a strange occurrence today that we had the police come by and investigate the building because myself and a volunteer heard loud knocking on an inner door that was locked. We heard a voice too! But there was no way anyone could be in the building as all outer doors were locked and we were the only ones in the entire place. We caught a strange shadow on the surveillance. The two officers came and were a bit dumbfounded too. They took it seriously and searched all three floors but we were truly the only ones there. Stay tuned!!

Haunted Hachie & Ellis County Museum, Inc. Event Announcement ✨
I’m thrilled to share our contribution to this year’s Ellis County Museum Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes ,and it’s a big one.
On Saturday, June 6th, we’re hosting two full paranormal investigation sessions (6pm to 8pm then 9pm to 11pm), with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Ellis County Museum.
I’ll be joined by fellow investigators Andy Don Emmons, Ian Powell, and Erin Hollingsworth Powell as we take guests deep into the history and the hauntings of this iconic landmark that was built in 1889 as a Masonic Lodge (so the building holds lots of secrets, including a secret passage).
👻 What You’ll Experience:
• Explore all three stories of the historic Ellis County Museum
• Investigate with professional paranormal equipment
• Review real evidence previously captured inside the building
• Take part in an authentic ghost hunt inside this former Masonic Lodge known for decades of unexplained activity
If you’ve ever wanted to explore the museum after dark ,this is your chance, and it supports a great cause. Scroll till you see paranormal tour tickets below the regular Gingerbread Trail ones (two different times available)

Early yesterday morning a devastating fire burned a large part of the former world famous Catfish Plantation that closed a few years ago. It had just been extensively renovated by the new owners who had re-opened it as The Blind Pig Butchery. This is the second fire that struck the location. The first one occurred in 2003 and the photo below (when it was painted pink and green )was taken by the fire marshal at the time. The smoke was all in the attic area yet something appeared in the window below. There has always been speculation about the photo and what looks like a spirit manifesting in the main window. The fire investigator did not see it with the naked eye, only once it was captured in the photo. The other newer photo of this years fire after it burned also seems to have something or someone in the window. Take a close look inside the area circled in yellow. This beautiful 1895 Victorian was also home to the famous baseball player, scout and team manager Paul Richards when he was young. Later it gained fame as one of the most haunted restaurants in the U.S. and was featured on TV shows such as Day Tripper on PBS, Ghost Hunters on SyFy, Dead Files on the Travel Channel, and Ghost Lab on Discovery Channel. It was immortalized in "King of the Hill" on Fox for the series finale (see pic).
