📍 Colonial Williamsburg Gallows – Truth Behind the Timber
“Not all ghosts come from the grave… some hang in the air.”
In the shadow of the Capitol building, just beyond where the brick paths turn to dirt, justice once wore a rope. The gallows of Colonial Williamsburg were likely perched northeast of the Capitol—near modern-day Capitol Landing Road—where criminals, pirates, and the condemned met their grim fate under the public eye.
This eerie photo, snapped by a guest on our Extreme Ghost Tour, appears to show the chilling silhouette of gallows—taken from the exact direction historians believe they once stood. Coincidence? Or something darker lingering in the air?
🔎 Join us and retrace the path of the condemned… if you dare.
