A postcard from our mommy daughter outing, life in Delaware 🍂💐☔️

We spent the afternoon at a u-pick flower field in Delaware Monarch Flower Farm at The Monroe Homestead things to do recap video coming soon (because they’re about to close for the season)!!!

my daughter got to splash in her first puddle 🥹☔️🍂

I’m naturally tidy and like things neat and clean, so embracing the messy side of toddlerhood is a little outside my comfort zone…

Truthfully, I can’t even remember a time growing up when I splashed in puddles or intentionally played in the rain myself.

But after watching her curiously approach puddle after puddle during our rainy mommy-daughter day, I finally gave in 😅

- 7 months pregnant
- no backup outfit
- no extra hands
- errands still on the agenda

… but seeing her experience that simple little joy was worth every bit of the mess.

A sweet reminder that sometimes childhood memories are made when we let go a little 🫶 Praise God her fall happened in drier mud! 😂
