Had another consult trip today he has multiple boats but we decided to give the 15’ skiff a shot in yankeetown. Started off slow but we found a few here and there very little tide movement, mullet not being very active again making the Redfish less aggressive this week. Found some moving water and picked up 10-12 16-21” Redfish then decided to go drift for trout when the tide slacked out. Caught 10-12 trout then decided to try to hunt down a big backwater redfish and we found her! Got a stud 33” pretty quickly! And did she take us for a ride! Did a little more scouting then all that was left is black drum which is always my favorite part and sure enough they were everywhere on the surface again! As soon as the first shrimp hit the water we got a 35” drum. Went looking for more and found a nice one for the cooler at 26” and called it a day.

Fishing is only going to keep getting better!

What a day it was today…and not in a good way 😂 literally one of them days where I had skilled fisherman but we struggle...

What a day it was today…and not in a good way 😂 literally one of them days where I had skilled fisherman but we struggled hard we even lost every good fish we hooked all day long. Probably went 3 for 12 on big fish over 25” reds and drum included. Got a few lower slot 19-20” reds we didn’t take pics of then went looking for drum and found them thick again thankfully and played with them for a while to get them to eat to make the most of it. One of the drum were massive 40”+ pics didn’t do it justice. Definitely would’ve had a decent day if we landed some of the big fish in the mangroves this morning but I guess “that’s why they call it fishing”

Had a really fun consult today easy going with 1 guy on his 21’ seapro. Showed him a bunch of new areas to fish got some really nice quality Redfish with 2 perfect 27” Redfish. Released another 3-4 more nice mid to top slot reds after we had our limit and another 6-8 that were under slot. Bounced around trying different things when the tide went slack got on a nice trout bite with 9-10 keepers then we moved onto drum. Found a pile quickly that took some work getting to eat but they eventually cooperated and boated 2 nice 27” drum and a couple bigger 32”+. Then went sight casting another school that wouldn’t eat so we called it a day.

Started out with a low outgoing tide so we didn’t get much time to Redfish this morning. Luckily we plucked out a 26” before we had to go for trout. Ended up with like 5 keeper seatrout, 20 sand trout and a nice 20” flounder for the box. Then we found 3-4 eater size drum then when on the hunt for big momma. We found them on the surface at 3 spots and only 1 giant was willing to eat and we got her picture and quickly released
