Mount Lofty House sits above the Piccadilly Valley, 15 minutes from Adelaide but a world away from it. The stone manor was designed for entertaining the South Australian elite — lavish parties, long dinners, the kind of hospitality that doesn't rush. That spirit never really left.
Today the estate spans 30 acres of gardens, a three-hatted restaurant with a wine cellar that's been aging since the original owner was alive, and a private dining dome tucked beneath a 170-year-old Sequoia tree that most visitors never even know exists.

Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve is proof that nature can make an incredible comeback. Once stripped bare by settlers and left as wasteland by the 1950s, this ancient dormant volcano along the Great Ocean Road has been restored into one of Victoria’s best places to spot iconic Australian wildlife in the wild.

From koalas sleeping up to 20 hours a day to conserve energy from their eucalyptus-only diet, to kangaroos using their powerful tails for balance because they can’t walk backwards, every corner of Tower Hill has its own story to tell. Keep an eye out for emus too — these incredible birds can sprint up to 50 km/h, making them one of Australia’s fastest animals.

A scenic detour filled with wildlife, history, and landscapes you won’t forget.

Built by WWI veterans with hand tools starting in 1919, the Great Ocean Road is the world's largest war memorial, and one of its most beautiful. The Twelve Apostles? There are actually only nine, slowly being shaped and reclaimed by the same Southern Ocean that created them. Maits Rest drops you into a 300-million-year-old rainforest minutes from the coast. And Timboon Distillery sits in a converted railway shed with roots in the region's illegal 19th-century whisky trade.
