How flipping lucky are we to have a traditional greengrocer in our little market town of Leek. It’s a family run business of 45 years and they also offer fab seasonal boxes for delivery.

Hoorah!!!

I’ve been so excited to collect my glazed painted pot from the workshop the other week, and I’m just a teeny bit proud of it … so much so that I felt I deserved a flipping big slice of homemade lime & coconut cake … homemade (obvs) at the Lion House Tea Room.

Book a stay at ‘Sails’ and you may just find this little pot tucked away somewhere!!!

🌿 A pretty little spot, just down the road from Sails…

Sometimes you don’t need to go far to find somewhere lovely. 🤍

At the end of Osborne Street, you’ll find this small but beautifully pretty little park — tucked away amongst the trees and gardens, with winding paths, benches and plenty of greenery.

It’s the perfect place for a gentle stroll together, a quiet sit in the sunshine, or simply a little wander after exploring Leek. 🌳

For couples staying at Sails Holiday Cottage, it’s a lovely place to slow down, enjoy each other’s company and take a peaceful moment away from the hustle and bustle.

Every month I post about how quickly 4 weeks pass before we get to the next Sunday Supplement and here we flipping are once again … anybody else feeling the speed of these summer months?

Since starting my little business in April, I’ve found myself rediscovering Leek and falling in love with the little place all over again … sounds a bit dramatic I know … but it’s honestly how I feel!

Seeing our town through the eyes of a tourist is to be recommended - look up at all the striking architecture … read the blue plaques on buildings … wander through the back streets which still have cobbles just to find out where you end up. All free of charge, no pennies needed.

Try to be a tourist in the place that you live, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Leek town centre is a mere hop and a skip from ‘Sails’ holiday cottage and this weekend we were treated to this!!!

I can honesty’s say that there’s never a dull moment in this little market town in the Staffordshire Moorlands … of course we have amazing independent shops, and of course we have scrumptious places to eat but what we also have on offer doesn’t cost a penny … atmosphere!!!
