Whenever I find these old vehicles used as features I think of the excitement of the family who drove it off the showroom floor. The kids begging their father to take them for a drive. The family getting dressed up to head to church in their shiny new automobile. The stories it could tell.

Springbok from the foundation of the smaller prey species in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Falling Prey to lion leopard Cheetah and occasionally Caracal. A species well adapted to existing in this harsh environment.

The red-billed spurfowl is a fairly common member of the family. In the mornings and evenings you can hear it calling from atop a termite mount or tree stump.

The Kalahari Scrub Robin (Cercotrichas paena) is a medium-sized bird with a brownish back and pale, unstreaked underparts, found in arid and semi-arid regions of Southern Africa. They are typically seen in thorn-savannas, foraging for insects and spiders on the ground. These birds are monogamous and territorial, with males defending the nesting site.

These leopard tortoises are right at home in the Kalahari region. You will quite often see them walking through the veld or along the roads.
