Join us for the highlight of the De Hoop Calendar! You are invited to WINE WHALES & MUSIC WEEKEND AT DE HOOP – Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026 – De Hoop Collection’s annual winter celebration to welcome the start of whale season. You can look forward to sightings of the majestic Southern Right whales and a curated weekend blending regional wines, live music and the natural abundance of De Hoop Nature Reserve. The music line-up includes the evergreen ‘Whale Time Serenade’ for strings and flute with dinner, featuring
Irina Tsoniff, Ivo Ivanov on violin and Vladimir Ivanov on Viola, Peta Ann Holdcroft on cello and Malané Hofmeyr-Burger on flute, on Saturday and ‘Diamonds & Divas’ featuring Johan Liebenberg and Lucy Tops celebrating legendary voices and timeless hits from some of the world’s greatest artists, on Friday. This year’s special invited speaker is Jenny Cullinan (founder and the executive director of Ujubee NPC) who will present “The Wonderful World of Wild Living Bees” and there’s also the not-to-be-missed Wine & Cheese tastings. The weekend rounds off with a Sunday visit to Koppie Alleen to welcome the whales.
