📍 Addo Elephant (Eastern Cape): Founded in 1931 to protect the region's last 11 elephants, now South Africa's only Big 7 park, with whales and great whites offshore.
📍 Camdeboo (Eastern Cape): The Valley of Desolation's dolerite columns rise around 120 metres above the Karoo and glow at sunrise and sunset.
📍 Grasslands (Eastern Cape): The country's newest national park, protecting more than 10 000 hectares of high-altitude grassland. Check SANParks for access.
📍 Mountain Zebra (Eastern Cape): Proclaimed in 1937 to save the Cape mountain zebra, and now home to cheetah, lion and black rhino too.
📍 Golden Gate Highlands (Free State): Sandstone cliffs that glow honey, amber and rose, with bearded vultures overhead.

Long before spa menus and yoga decks reached the bush, a safari was already a tonic for the soul. Travellers came home calmer, sharper and strangely lighter. 📍 SOUTH AFRICA

Yes, there are beaches in Kenya. And yes, they look exactly like this.
