Road Traffic Accident Involving Munenzwa Bus Company Coach
Munenzwa Bus Company regrets to confirm that one of its coaches travelling from Cape Town, South Africa, to Harare, Zimbabwe, was involved in a road traffic accident at approximately 2200 hours on July 30 2026.
We are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident. On behalf of the Board, Management and the entire Munenzwa Bus Company family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives. We also wish all those who sustained injuries a full and speedy recovery.
Immediately following the accident, emergency services and the relevant law enforcement and road traffic authorities responded promptly to the scene, providing medical assistance, securing the area, and facilitating the evacuation and care of affected passengers. We sincerely appreciate the swift intervention and professionalism demonstrated by all the responsible authorities and emergency response teams.
The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority.
Munenzwa Bus Company is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
