Goodbye Cape Town… Namibia, here we come!

This morning we’ll say goodbye to Cape Town, fire up the bikes and point them north.

Our first stop will be Paternoster, as we head up the spectacular West Coast and begin another epic Motorrad Adventures journey.

The bikes will be loaded.
The team will be ready.
And the road will be calling.

Beyond the horizon lies thousands of kilometres of adventure, incredible landscapes and memories waiting to be made.

Rain coming down. Boots soaked. Fists raised.

Three riders, one incredible journey, and a moment to pause beneath the statue of Madiba — Nelson Mandela.

For us, this wasn’t just another stop along the road. It was a reminder of the extraordinary history, resilience and spirit woven into the South African landscape.

Adventure isn’t always about the road ahead.

Sometimes, it’s about stopping for a moment and remembering what came before us.

South Africa doesn’t just give you kilometres.

It gives you stories. 🇿🇦🏍️

FROM THE KAROO TO THE SOUTHERN TIP OF AFRICA. 🇿🇦🏍️

We left Barrydale behind this morning and headed south, leaving the wide-open landscapes of the Karoo behind as the scenery began to change around us.

The road took us towards Cape Agulhas — the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.

There’s something special about riding all the way to the bottom of the continent and standing at that iconic point between two oceans.

But as always, it’s the journey that makes it.

The changing landscapes.
The mountain roads.
The big skies.
The weather.
The kilometres rolling beneath the wheels.

And then, after reaching the southern tip, we continued along the coast towards Hermanus.

Another incredible day in the saddle.

This is South Africa.
This is adventure.
This is why we ride. 🏍️🇿🇦

How waterproof is your riding gear? 💦🏍️

Well… Colin decided there was only one way to find out.

This morning in Barrydale, the rain was coming down as we prepared to leave for Cape Agulhas — the southernmost tip of Africa.

Then, on Tradouw Pass, we found a waterfall.

Colin found his opportunity. 😂

Full riding gear.

Full waterfall.

Zero hesitation.

Because adventure doesn’t wait for perfect weather.

Sometimes the clouds roll in.
Sometimes the roads get wet.
And sometimes your mate decides the best way to test his waterproofing is to stand underneath a waterfall. 😂

But that’s the thing about riding through South Africa.

You don’t need perfect conditions. You just need the right attitude.

From the mountains of Tradouw Pass, we’re heading south towards the meeting point of two oceans and the southernmost tip of Africa. 🇿🇦

Another day.
Another road.
Another story.

And this is exactly why we ride.

From the coast, to a S*x Shop in the Karoo.

The adventure continues as we leave the coast behind and head inland, back towards the vast open landscapes of the Karoo.

And today, we’re back on one of South Africa’s most legendary motorcycle roads…

Route 62.

Long sweeping roads.
Mountain backdrops.
Big skies.
And that unmistakable feeling of having nowhere else you’d rather be.

But every great riding day needs a great roadside stop.

And today’s stop is an absolute Route 62 icon…

Ronnie’s S*x Shop.

Quirky, legendary and completely unique, it’s one of those places you simply have to stop at when riding Route 62.

A few photos. A few laughs. A little exploring…

Then it’s back on the bikes.

The Karoo opens up around us as we make our way towards Barrydale, our afternoon stop and a perfect place to slow things down after another incredible stretch of riding.

From the coast to the Karoo.

From legendary roads to legendary roadside stops.

This is what South Africa is Calling is all about.

What happens when it’s a rainy day on your motorcycle adventure?

The weather didn’t quite cooperate with our plans in Knysna, so instead of sitting around waiting for the skies to clear, we went exploring.

And what better place for a group of motorcycle enthusiasts than The Motorcycle Room?

An incredible collection of motorcycles from across the decades — from iconic classics and childhood dream bikes to serious racing machinery.

There’s something about standing surrounded by motorcycles that takes you straight back.
