What a fantastic day on Saturday!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest Motorcycle First Aid Course, presented by Motorrad Adventures in partnership with Alive First Aid Academy.

The classroom sessions gave everyone the knowledge they need, but it was the practical scenarios where everything really came together.

Throughout the day, participants worked through realistic adventure motorcycle accident scenarios, learning how to assess an injured rider, manage the scene, perform CPR, control severe bleeding, stabilise fractures, and make critical decisions before emergency services arrive.

There was plenty of learning, plenty of teamwork, and yes... plenty of laughs along the way too! It's amazing how much confidence you gain when you actually practise these skills rather than simply reading about them.

We hope none of our participants ever need to use these skills, but if they do, they'll be far better prepared to make a real difference when every second counts.

Morning everyone,

One topic we spend quite a bit of time discussing during our Adventure Bike Training is boots. It's one of those pieces of gear that's easy to underestimate until something goes wrong.

If you've trained with us, you'll know why we encourage riders to choose boots that provide proper ankle support, torsional stiffness and impact protection, especially once you leave the tar.

I came across this excellent video from FortNine, a channel we consider to be one of the more credible and well researched sources of motorcycle information. FortNine does a great job explaining why many so called "adventure" boots may not offer the level of protection riders assume they do, and what features you should actually be looking for.

It's well worth 15 minutes of your time before buying your next pair of boots.
