I was thrilled to visit my neighbor and friend in Oslo, where she was visiting her daughter. They kindly invited me to join them, and I spent the night with Thomas MacQueen Ovesen and his family. The next morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Patrick MacQueen Ovesen and Devena Cole Ovesen home. Devena took the day off to show her mother and me around the city, including the Vigeland Sculpture Park and Norway Castle. We had a great time exploring the city, laughing, and enjoying the trams and tunnel train before she dropped me off at the airport for my flight to Svalbard. The flight with Scandinavian Airlines SAS was pleasant, although they only offered tea and coffee as complimentary onboard services. It's recommended to bring a snack or lunch for the three-hour flight to Longyearbyen. Although my seat over the wing didn't provide the best view, I was able to see the ice-capped mountains from the plane. Checking in at the Radisson hotel was efficient. After dinner and a shower, I look forward to a good night's rest, as it had been a long day. My trip to Oslo and Svalbard is fantastic so far and getting on tomorrow Bev Coleman - Travel Counsellors
