It’s been one of the busiest few weeks in Earthstompers’ history and we’re feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase Southern Africa to guests from all over the world!

In the last 2 weeks, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming travellers from the USA, Germany, Brazil, England, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, India, Australia, and China.

Our guests have been exploring some of Southern Africa’s most epic landscapes and experiences - handpicked adventures for the ultimate guest experience:
From hiking up iconic Table Mountain to discovering the rugged beauty of the Cape of Good Hope, sipping world-class wines in the Cape Winelands, journeying along the Garden Route with its scenic drives and coastal forests, experiencing the “Smoke That Thunders” at Victoria Falls, complete with magical dinner cruises on the Zambezi, as well as unforgettable moments on safari in Addo National Park and Kruger National Park.

Every journey reminds us how special it is to connect people with the places, cultures, wildlife, and stories that make Southern Africa so extraordinary.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting two groups of tourism students from Boland College.

One group headed off to explore the Whale Coast, while the other soaked up the beauty of the West Coast. Days like this are always special for our team – our guides genuinely love sharing their knowledge, giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work in tourism, and (hopefully!) inspiring the next generation of industry pros.

Boland College holds a special place in our story too – it’s where owner of Earthstompers, Hendrik, first studied tourism and where the seed for Earthstompers was planted all those years ago. Full circle moments like this never get old.

Cindy, the general manager at Earthstompers, is visiting our Eastern Cape safari partners at Great Fish River Lodge over the next 2 days.

The Eastern Cape of South Africa offers spectacular wildlife viewing, including the big 5. Kwandwe Private Game Reserve spreads over 30000 hectares of pristine wilderness, and is home to thousands of free-roaming wild animals. Hendrik and Chrissy, owners of Earthstompers Travel, have headed off on an exciting 8-night journey with African Bush Camps to explore the highlights of Zimbabwe.

This trip will take them through some of the country’s most iconic and remote wild places: Mana Pools, Matusadona National Park, Hwange National Park, and finally to the mighty Victoria Falls.

This is all part of what we do best; getting out there ourselves, experiencing the lodges, the guiding, the small details, and the overall feel of each destination so we can confidently match our guests with the right safari and the right places.

It’s a busy week at Earthstompers with various tours on the road, having the privilege of showing off this fantastic country we call home 🇿🇦

Over the last 7 days we had 9 tours that departed; groups of friends, families, and solo guests booked custom-made private tours to explore Cape Town and the Garden Route as well as Eastern Cape and Kruger Safaris.
Our signature route - weekly Garden Route & Addo group tours from Cape Town - departed with two buses and 20 guests on Monday.

From helicopter flips in the Mother City, to the indigenous coastal forests of the Garden Route, to the fine wine of the Cape, the southernmost point of the African continent, canoeing on a river in a birding paradise, swimming in the Indian Ocean, encountering wildlife on safari, great food and the best of all; the warm South African hospitality. All the great things wrapped up in one tour!
