🌿 This morning's early game drive was one to remember! Our lovely South African guest and her two friends from overseas were treated to the incredible sighting of a Brown Hyena – a truly rare and special encounter here in Mabalingwe Nature Reserve.

Brown hyenas are shy, mostly nocturnal animals and are very seldom seen during daylight hours. Often misunderstood, they play a vital role in the ecosystem by cleaning up carcasses and helping to keep the bush healthy. Their shaggy brown coats, powerful jaws and distinctive sloping backs make them one of Africa's most fascinating and unique predators.

We couldn't have been happier for our guests to experience such a memorable wildlife moment! Moments like these remind us that every game drive brings the possibility of something extraordinary. 🤎
