I'm aware that ongoing developments in the Middle East have raised understandable concern among travellers, particularly those with plans involving transit through the region en route to Europe.

To my clients I'm across the latest developments, official travel advisories, and airline policies. For those of due to depart in the next 72 hours, I'll be in contact with you today to discuss any changes to your flights and answer any questions.

General advice for all travellers:

Guidance from ATIA CEO Dean Long, Chief Executive of the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA), has issued a clear and important reminder:

“Travellers shouldn’t panic or cancel unnecessarily… don’t cancel, as it reduces the number of rights you have. Let the airline make that decision.”

✅Do not cancel flights prematurely.
Airlines are continually assessing the safety and viability of routes. If a flight is cancelled by the airline, the client is entitled to rebooking, refunds or compensation. Voluntary cancellations may forfeit these entitlements.

✅Please wait unless you are travelling in the next 72 hours.
For travel within three days, it’s appropriate to contact the airline or travel provider for clarity. For all other clients, we are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they emerge.

✅Stay calm and stay informed.
The situation is fluid, but key hubs (e.g. Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi) remain operational, and airlines are taking proactive safety measures such as rerouting flights and adjusting schedules.
