When you start a business, of course the business plan is built around profit. That’s what keeps the doors open, the team working and the dream moving forward.
But things change. Objectives evolve. Life happens. You adjust, you adapt — but ultimately, the goal remains the same.
For me, I never set out to be huge. I never wanted to compete with everyone else. I simply wanted to be the best at what we do.
Stay in my lane. Focus on our clients, our team and doing what we do really well.
Of course, business can be tough. There are always the challenges, the things you can’t control, and yes… even the haters. 😂
But this past week I attended a couple of weddings, and it made me realise there was something I never put in my original business plan.
Friendships.
Who knew that some of my clients would become some of my closest friends?
Who knew that booking someone’s holiday would eventually mean being invited into their lives — joining families, sharing their celebrations, watching their children grow and becoming part of their history?
There is something incredibly special about that.
As we get older, I think what we really want is peace. We want to see our children grow into great humans. We want to make memories, celebrate the good stuff and surround ourselves with people who make life richer.
And one of the greatest privileges of my business has been the incredible circles of friendship it has created.
People who started as clients… who became friends… who became family.
I’m not sure how many businesses can say they have been given that gift.
So my Monday Melody is about YOU. ❤️
Thank you for supporting my business.
Thank you for trusting me with your travel.
Thank you for referring your friends and family.
And most of all, thank you for enriching my circle and my life in ways I could never have written into a business plan.
Turns out, some of the best things in business were never about business at all. ❤️
