The Northern Lights are on more bucket lists than almost any other travel experience. And right now, the conditions to see them are the best they have been in over a decade.

We are currently at solar maximum, the peak of the sun's 11-year activity cycle, which means more frequent, more vivid aurora displays than usual — and sightings visible much further south than in quieter years. The window is real, but it will not last. Solar activity is already beginning to ease, and the next comparable opportunity is not expected until the mid-2030s.

Kylie, our Store Manager, is the person many of you speak to first when you call or walk into the Miranda store, and often the one who remembers your trip details better than you do. For those who haven't met her yet, here is a bit more about the person who helps run Envoyage Miranda.

Kylie has spent over 30 years in the travel industry, more than two decades of it at Envoyage, building her career around knowing her clients and their destinations inside out. Her specialties span luxury travel, family holidays, cruise, weddings and events, with particular depth in Southeast Asia, Africa, Cuba, Europe, Australia, the South Pacific and Canada.

Ask Kylie her favourite destination and she won't narrow it down.

"Every place has something special."

One memory she still talks about is seeing the Big Five for the first time. And her advice for getting the most out of travel, after more than three decades in the industry:

Many of you already know Gada from instore, or from a trip she has helped plan, and plenty of you will have travelled with her over the years. For those who do not know her yet, here is a bit more about the person behind Envoyage Miranda.

Gada has spent 30 years in the travel industry, 26 of them building Envoyage Miranda, and has visited more than 109 countries along the way. She plans everything from family holidays to honeymoons, but there is one thing she comes back to every time: "Putting together a group departure is where my heart truly lies." ❤

Some of her favourite travel memories come from Africa, watching wildlife by jeep, boat and hot air balloon, and from landing in South Georgia in Antarctica surrounded by wildlife.

Her advice for smoother travel, after three decades on the road: stay organised with your documents and use packing cubes!

Last weekend Gada and Kylie travelled to Cairns for the Envoyage Australia 2026 Summit, three days spent connecting with fellow Envoyage consultants and colleagues, suppliers and partners from across the country.

We were proud to bring home three national awards: the 2026 Innovation Award, Top Cruise Agency and Top Tour Agency in Australia.
